We have been going here long before it was El Marisco's. I will admit at first we were not happy with the changes as we were friends with the previous owners and were very regularly there. However, they quickly won us over and we have been enjoying it as they have grown and even through a few growing pains. We were there Cinco de Mayo and it was packed. There were also families celebrating graduation as well as revellers. Was the service slow... yes. Were mistakes made... absolutely. I have to say they were trying very hard to keep up. A crazy busy night and a normally competent staff make it easy for me to overlook mistakes. I am very sorry others did not have a good experience. I hope that they do not let one waitress ruin their future experiences. Come back and give them a second chance. I recommend that you order things you do not normally order. The fish is delicious. The soup, wonderful. Huaraches are a favorite. Experiment. Enjoy. :)
The food was fantastic! And their margaritas are cheap but are made very well. They don't taste like other Mexican restaurants who make it with too much margarita mix or cheap tequila. We went on a Saturday during lunch hours and the service was great! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Food is really good! Tacos and ceviche are always my go too!! Some of the waitresses can be slow and little behind. I always like to go early usually the female owner "I believe" waits tables and she is fantastic!
This place is by far the best that Madison/Nashville has to offer for Mexican food. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food. Well... It's flawless and satisfying. Hands down. Period
This spot is about as authentic as it gets out here in Tennessee. The food is all delicious and you do have to ask to have the cheese sauce taken off of many things if you're looking for truly authentic, but the cheese sauce is good if you're a fan. They do get busy, and they have outdoor seating. The place is pretty clean, the staff has always been super nice, it has just always been a very pleasant experience. The fish tacos, the guacamole, the shrimp chimichanga... all delicious. They also have one of the best shrimp cocktails around, and their carne asada tacos are enormous. I highly recommend visiting at least a couple times and trying some different things before making your decision on whether you like this place or not. I'm a big fan and already craving for my next visit!
Good food and a very understanding server who chose to ignore my 2 year old niece slinging salsa everywhere.
