Today, the food was better. The cashier was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good. The hurshpuppies were overcooked. The tea is always good. It was extremely cold in there, but it's summer, so I'm sure the workers get hot.
We had the BBQ sandwich with coleslaw value pack (fries & sweet tea)...soo good. The sweetness of the slaw combines perfectly with the savory flavor of this "down east" BBQ...and you get a bushel of fries. Would suggest a little less ice in the tea...but it was well made! Overall, well worth the price.
Great place to eat in. Consistently good food and service from one location to another. Can't go wrong eating here.
We aren't from North Carolina and wanted to try something that would exemplify Carolina BBQ. The pulled pork was vinegary as you'd expect from Carolina BBQ. It was tender and not smokey. I give it a b for a grade. The shrimp were very shrimpy in size, lightly breaded and gently fried. They were still very tender and tasty with cocktail sauce. The hush puppies were the star of the meal. Shaped like little sausages, they were crisp and had good flavor. Service was very nice for a very crowded Sunday lunch time. The fried Chicken had the texture of KFC original fried Chicken, but didn't have overly strong flavors. If you like the strong flavors of Cajun style fried chicken joints like Bojangles or Popeyes, this won't fit the bill. But if you like crispy chicken that is wholesome and good in its own right, you might like this.
Tasty BBQ, eastern NC style, very good, spacious dining room, walk up to counter and order, served as take out food. Good stop for travelers - in a shopping area, but easy access to main highway. Stopped at another SCNB on another trip, and pleased to say it was the same.
From the greetings to the leaving. The Staff couldn't have been nicer. Very impressed

I got a little of everything because I am a Foodie. A cashier gentleman helped me place my order, and he was so friendly, full of energy and smiles, and so knowledgeable. My first time going to a place and ALL the items were top notch and had a signature taste. Even the sauces! A must try!!! 10 out of 10. I Can Not express enough how much we enjoyed our meal! Fried chicken breast (tender and juicy), leg, thigh (smaller than usual), tenders (never had tenders like this...juicy, lightly breaded, huge size), baked beans, cole slaw, Brunswick stew (needed a bit more salt but very hearty stew), and OMG hushpuppies! We underestimated what things would taste like, and after taste testing in the car, we went back in to order more! Exceptional service from the front and back house, although there was one little girl who wears glasses who seemed less enthusiastic and spacey! Thank goodness she was not my first impression. Because we ordered so much food, we had ample leftovers, and "Yes Ma'am", next day warm up was a hit! Can't wait to drive again from middle Georgia through NC for this experience!!
Great food and excellent service. I have been here twice in the last 2 weeks. They have great staff and a 99 sanitation score. Tony Bryant gave friendly, kind, and courteous service at their drive thru. This location is always clean.
Great food and service, usually takes me 10 minutes or less to get my food in the drive through. The BBQ sandwich and fries are a staple.
It was very good and the cashier was pleasant helpful and got the correct change. All around good
