Well, where do I begin? My history with TJ's goes back to shopping at the first and original TJ's in South Pasadena, CA. That must have been in the 70's. There were just shelves and boxes and cash registers, bare bones, and I loved it. Over the years they of course evolved and improved their stores. After having lived in Noca Scotia, Canada recently, with no TJ in sight I would map my travels to the US in a way that I could do major shopping before returning to Canada, like Portland Maine and New Hampshire. Major disaster hit when I moved back to the US and ended up in Memphis, TN - no TJ here! So now I drive about 400 miles round trip every few months to Nashville to shop at TJ's while enjoying Nashville at the same time. Now here is the good news: TJ's is coming to Memphis! The bad news: the targeted opening date has been delayed several times, from opening in September to a possible opening in June of 2017. I'm holding my breath!
Now you know my personal relationship with TJ's - over 40 years! I write this to make sure everybody understands that TJ's is the best of the best. Products (I'm from Europe and welcome the international products!), prices, service, quality, it's all there and excellent. Some of the items I buy at TJ's are double and triple at Whole Foods Market and Krogers in Memphis. Until they open in Memphis I'll keep on trekking to Nashville. That's how much I love Trader Joe's.
I'm originally from Monrovia California. The headquarters for Trader Joes was around the corner from my house, so I'm aware of the excellent products they carry. It's like getting Whole Foods quality for food warehouse prices. My only complaint is that I live in Huntsville Alabama, and I have a two hour drive (one way) to shop. My wife and I arrived at 12;00 on Sunday, and were lucky to find a parking place. Still, we plan on driving once a month to get products like the coffee, cheese, jam and other things that aren't even offered where we live. Oh, and for the next time we plan on bringing an ice chest for the meat products and frozen foods too.
This TJ’s is phenomenal! A crowded part of town but understandably so. My new friend Chase went out of her way to help me find a coveted seasonal item, and when they didn’t have it, to set me up on a hold list to get a call when they get it back in stock. She then proceeded to give me knowledgeable recommendations in the absence of the item I came in for. She was so friendly and made my experience the BEST!
My go to place for affordable meals and fun new creative items. Not to forget their stellar holiday programs with innovative and unique items!
Parking can get quite full on occasion so learning the best days to shop will help even for quick trips..

At trader Joe's I found warms and smiles all over the staff and attendants, we had a crying child and they managed to calm him by gifts! Yes, its was heartfelt! We always shopped at trader joe's, so to us, the store is part of our lives, and never disappoints. The only problem is long waiting lines 😀 I guess everyone loves Trader Joe's😀. I purchased a shopping bag and have been using it daily and its still strong, that is what I call quality. Consider adding more goods such as butchery for fresh meat and fish, that would be excellent and a big help to your customers.
Also I like to see more organic produce as we are seing a lot of GmOs that we try to avoid where possible. Otherwise I highly commend your services and quality of your goods. See you soon.
Love that I can go to a trader joes anywhere in the country & can find reasonably priced organic food & wine! Found everything I needed for the event.
Love the variety of great, fresh, organic produce at reasonable prices (rivals prices of non-organic items offered at some common grocers). Small/mid- size store with great selections and customer service - several registers open to keep shoppers moving quickly through without a line/wait.
Everyone loves Trader Joe's! Interesting selections, good prices, employees are outstanding! Employees have this "how can we assist in making your day better" attitude! Such a pleasant place to shop!
I love this Trader Joe’s, it’s not as cramped as others I have been too. I also thing they have more options than other stores. I love going and just walking around to see the new stuff they have. Honestly for this type of store too you can get good quality food at a reasonable price.
Always the best experience overall with every detail. I just feel good when I walk in their store. Never a big selection but always a very good selection. Prices are high everywhere in the USA. This store is not different. It's just great!
I love all Trader Joe's 😍 great parking, it was clean, everybody was helpful, GREAT wine and beer selection. I would price Trader Joe's between a Kroger's and Whole Foods. A lot of times you can find the same thing at Aldi, but a little cheaper.
I love Trader Joes. The staff is always helpful and friendly and they hsve great food! Lots of gf foods! Gluten free muffins are so moist. I buy them whenever Im there. Their gluten free buns are also a favorite.
What I dont like is the location. Always traffic. And it seems many who live in the srea are very privileged. They have no common sense then blame you. For this reason alone, I prefer the White Bridge Road store.
