Looking for a good hibachi restaurant so we tried this for the first time. It was fantastic, best hibachi food and experience we've had in a very long time. Our chef was excellent and cooked a delicious meal! I definitely recommend you give it a try and we'll definitely be back!
I absolutely love this Place! Ms Judy is thee absolute Best which makes frequent visits a must. The food is Great every time, Service is always on Par! The Specials or a Geisha are a good way to pass the time while you wait in the lounge, I also recommend the Peach Saki while your here.
Everything was great except for the wait. We went on a Sunday at 5:30 PM. We waited a really long time to be seated in the lounge about an hour and also about 25 minutes at the table before water, soup, and salad was brought out then about 10 minutes after that for the chef. The bartender was fantastic and the drinks are STRONG we were both extremely tipsy after 2 drinks, highly recommend the Mikado special and blue Hawaiian as a cocktail. The chef wasn’t too entertaining but got the job done. The food was really good and huge portions - multiple days of leftovers. I enjoyed all the flavors. I preferred the chicken over the steak - the steak was quite chewy. The “MP” prices on the menu are $59 and $69.
This place is amazing. They've been there 42 years. The atmosphere is lovely. Service was great and food was delicious. I can't wait to go for my birthday.
I’ve been here twice so far. Both of the chefs were very entertaining and the food was amazing. The older women who served us in the bar lounge area was very sweet, and made good drinks. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place.
No ginger sauce....really? Salad dressing doesn't cut it. The chefs are awesome and over all the food was great but I wasn't the only one asking for more traditional sauces.
Just celebrated my 37th birthday here. I have been going to Mikado since I was an infant and I cannot remeber ever having a bad meal here. Great food and great service. Mikado is an institution, a Nashville staple where us locals go!
First time there and will absolutely be back! We were lucky to enjoy the table for just two. Had an incredible conversation with our Chef. I am unfortunately terrible with names but it was one of the best Hibachi conversations I have ever had. He was incredible at the craft and great with interaction. The staff taking orders and bussing were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place for a tasty dinner and a fun experience! I enjoyed some Steak, Scallops, Sake and a Mai Tai, all delicious! If I wasn't so distracted by such a great time I would have remembered to take pictures!
Food was amazing. Had some good drinks. We had lobster and filet mignon. Both were amazing. The chef was very nice and funny. The only thing I did not like were some of the people we sat with. They complained about everything and just wanted free food. I hope our payment and rating cover them, so that others may know how good this place is.

but there is nothing truly special here, u will get no more or no less than u expect from this kind of restaurant...
I will concede that I went on a Monday night and I would imagine that on a weekend night there would be more of a show. I will also note that there was a pretty good crowd for it just being Monday night, suggesting that it is fairly popular with the locals, which says a lot for their ability to keep repeat customers.
I will certainly be back if in the area, but probably won't make a special trip...
Also, it wasn't big deal, but I wasn't offered a sushi menu. I don't know if they just don't have any, or just none on Monday. They may have it at the bar, or available by request, but I didn't see it on the menu-just be aware this may not be the place to get ur sushi fix.
