Solid BBQ and solid sides. Have been continually impressed by (and addicted to) this place since I discovered them nearly two years ago. It's high time that I write a review. Compared to every other BBQ joint I've been to, Gambling Stick seems to maintain a level of day-to-day quality that no other place can come close to. Part of that is that they use locally sourced meats (from the adjacent Porter Road Butcher) but I think it also matters that the owner is a legit chef (legit as in he trained at the Culinary Institute of America). There's a high level of artistic perfectionism here that you don't see in most BBQ joints. The smoked meats are the centerpieces that everyone should try--the dry aged beef brisket is crazy complex its flavor, while their perfectly tender ribs are the perfect showcase for the amazing dry rub that I still haven't been able to completely deconstruct. Beyond those two showstoppers (for me, I can never decide which one to choose), the "pigsket" might be the perfect cut of pork for smoking--flavorful and moist, with enough surface area to guarantee you get a little bit of that rub with each bite. They've also got a couple of creative sandwich options that I come back to, with the remarkably-constructed (albeit unremarkably named) "ham and cheese" being my absolute favorite The ham has been marinated (in pickle juice) then smoked, sliced and served with said pickles, a creamy beer-cheese spread and finally...believe it or not...pretzels! Such a fun sandwich. If you love great BBQ you absolutely must try this place. Don't let their humble trailer fool you--this is a worthy destination that BBQ aficionados should make a point of seeking out

By far the best BBQ I have ever had! The guys there are very friendly and great service. The side items are very good as well. I am not huge fan of bake beans, but theirs are really good and the slaw is awesome!! Recommend to come out and try their food. You will not be disappointed!

Some of the nicest guys we have met, who know the craft of barbecuing very well. Incredible beef brisket, pigsket, pulled pork, and ribs. We came hungry and left so very satisfied. We are passing through on a road trip, and can definitely see coming back by in the future. Highly recommend!

This is one of Nashville TN hidden gems. The beef brisket is delicious and tender. The baked beans complement the beef brisket. I am not a cornbread fan but I tried it. I must say I am a fan of this cornbread as you can taste the actual corn in the bread and complements the beans and beef brisket. One test of really good bbq does the meat need bbq sauce. The answer is heck no as the meat is great without the sauce.

Great cook on the pulled pork and brisket, we didn't care for the sauces but they didn't need it. Love the potato salad as well!

This place is hands down the best ribs, beef and pork brisket! OMG! Finger licking good!

The real deal in a parking lot in East Nashville. Pig slow cooked well over cherry. The dining tent is cute, but in the chill of late fall was perfect. If I were to change anything, I'd go for a finer chip on the meat, but it's real, and tasty. Friendly service too.

I love the Gambling Stick. It's in the Porter Road Butcher Shop. I go to Porter Road and buy bones for my dog then I usually come to the Gambling Stick for sandwiches. Right now my current favorite sandwich is the Piglet Brisket sandwich. Photo down belew. Give it a try. You won't go wrong!

Great place for BBQ. First time here, and I went with the brisket plate. Great tasting food. Beans were awesome.
