Best sushi in Nashville! We had a group of 6 go out. Had a nice opportunity to try a lot of different things. We had miso soup, seaweed salad, squid salad, and cucumber salad. All were amazing, but the two standouts were the Seaweed and Squid salads. The sushi was outstanding, however the two most unique roles for us were Crawfish roll and Cajun roll. The Daisy plated beautifully. Once we were able to get a table, the service was quick and polite. If you like sushi and in the area, definitely give them a try. One of the best sushi restaurants in Nashville! My routine is to dine here first and then buy grocery from Sonobana Market because it is an only place that carries my fancy japanese rice. I'd say Sanobana has the best Amaebi in Nashville! My favorites are Amaebi (Sweet Shrimp), Uni (Sea urchin), Scallop, and Chutoro (Fatty Tuna). I feel like I have tried almost everything on the menu. I don't know why I didn't write a review for them after becoming their regular for years! Here is my suggestion. Be adventurous, order things that you have never tried before and let's your taste buds having fun.
Terrific sushi! It was packed for lunch. There is an extensive menu for lunch and dinner. We tried the miso soup, edamame, cucumber salad, plus some nigiri and sushi rolls. Everything we had was excellent. The inside has a good atmosphere and everyone working there was friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu.
Small intimate place with amazing food, great service, and all the sushi is made by female chefs! We started with a beautiful tempura appetizer and they served it with a big bowl of tentsuyu sauce with grated daikon. All the pieces were huge and it was a great variety, the pumpkin was my favorite piece! Bluefin tuna was available (!!!), affordable enough to try, and was the single best bite I ate in town all day. I can't stress the quality of the tuna enough, you have to try it! Also pictured here is a shrimp tempura roll and "Big John #2," it had five types of fish and was rolled in tobiko. It's the most expensive roll they sell but it was well worth the cost, if you're a fish lover that's the one to try :) This place is a rare combo of great quality sushi at an affordable price, absolute must try it you're visiting Nashville! I live out of state but I will be back!
If you're in the area this one treat is definitely worth stopping in for, there are surely dozens of great finds here, and I found several! My daughter and I were blown away by the freshness and mouth-feel of this delicious treat rice cake with fruit flavored bean paste
This place has the best sushi I've ever had anywhere, and by far the best in Nashville. Super authentic, and a lovely Japanese grocery attached. The hype is real. Absolutely delicious! Picture is of a White Bridge roll and a Rising Sun roll; my favorite that I didn't get tonight is the Sunflower roll.
This place was recommended to me and it did not disappoint! Came here on a weekday for lunch and every table was filled.
Chirashi bowl was only $20 and was a great deal with the amount and quality of fish you get.
Service was also great!
This is the only truly authentic Japanese place in Nashville! Being Japanese I have high standards and Sonobana exceeded those. Tempura was perfectly battered, sushi was fresh and nice size portions, and there were so many items on the menu I can’t wait to go back and try. Service was great, very friendly and welcoming. ごちそうさま😋🙏
One of my favorite restaurants. Staff are always extremely friendly and good portion sizes. Very accommodating for vegetarian & vegans as well.
If I lived here, I would be a regular! Fantastic prices. We had 4 rolls plus a couple pieces of sushi with a beer and total was $50. Everything was good. Not five star fresh and best cuts of sushi, but good. I would highly recommend. Gotta love a sushi picture menu too.
