12 South needs a good coffee shop and I’m glad Portland Brew is there. They also have a handful parking spots outside the cafe. Espresso shot in my Lavender Latte was good. They have two large seating areas indoors. There’s a strong wifi and a water station. They also have an avocado toast on their menu. Everything is reasonably priced.
Kasey and Austin were so helpful and nice! I haven’t been a coffee drinker for very long and they were kind and patient and helped me get the TASTIEST drink! Kasey was on bar and the drink was phenomenal:) it wasnt waaayyy too hot like most places serve, I was delighted.
Arguably the best coffee shop on 12th Ave South. The coffee options are diverse and the drinks are great! Drip coffee is fantastic (decaf is also tasty.) They also have a great High Garden Tea selection and the staff know how to brew each tea correctly.
The food is good but not special (I’d call it consistent food staples only.)
Atmosphere is good, can get a bit loud. Seating options include outdoor seating with umbrellas, regular tables, couch, bar seating looking out over 12th.

I bring my computer and work here at least 1x/week. Sometimes I have to connect to my HotSpot, but usually their wifi is fine. Best coffee by far, workers always have good vibes. Feels like everyone is welcome. Just good energy here and great coffee.
Decent cafe with good drink selection. Wi-Fi was a little unreliable but staff were friendly and the seating area was comfortable. Would happily come back here.
Always a great local spot in 12 south that thankfully never gets overwhelmed with the tourists. Coffee is consistently top notch and their food is great! Got their new Kale salad. Loaded with bacon, goat cheese, almond, and a fried egg. The server that brought it to me was excited to tell me it was her first time making it and DANG she did a good job.
I don’t think they have gluten free bread, but whatever the salad was perfect.
Porch is good for dogs! Except there’s annoying construction next door. Didn’t ruin my lunch though and didn’t scare my dog. I can always count on this place having seating!
Coffee is very good. Got the Iced Caramel Cream and could taste both coffee AND caramel, neither was overpowering. Tasty sandwiches served on your choice of bread, including sourdough 😋. Had to knock one star for slower than anticipated service and once our sandwiches were brought out (13 mins) we had to remind them that we ordered coffee as well. They had stated that they would bring it all out to us, therefore we didn’t wait at the counter.
Great cappuccino and macchiatos. Nice staff. Comfortable and quiet on the inside. Glad we stopped by.
Absolutely love the coffee here, the place closes by 5 be sure to come by early.
Great chill atmosphere, bites, and drinks! I drink tea and their chai is the best in the city! My husband loves their coffee. We like their bites on the menu too. We go a lot with our baby and never feel unwanted. Only knocking a star because, like other reviewers have said, the line is sooo long and we’ve been multiple different days and it always is long and the employees don’t seem to be as efficient. But we wait because we really do like the chill atmosphere, bites, and drinks! Just plan to be there a bit when you go.
