First time here , and it was absolutely good 👍. The Roast Beef was good plus all 3 sides were delicious. I could have eaten a dozen of the devil eggs , they were perfect. Great coffee plus the cookies and cream pie was a great ending to a very good lunch. Much Respect
The food was delicious. The best biscuits and gravy I’ve had in a long time. The wait staff was incredibly friendly!!
What a hidden gem! Found Jays on a Google search and my goodness! If you haven't been in for breakfast you should definitely put it on your list of things to do! By far the best breakfast I've had in a long time!
Older, established restaurant with daily, home cooking entrees on the menu, which, if you order those, the meals are a nice value. It was quite busy on a Monday for lunch, so obviously they are doing things right. The fried chicken is fried to order, and I got the chicken tenders which were one of the best I've ever had. Service was good, the restaurant was a little dirty, trash on the floor,.etc. If I wanted some good home cooking at a good value I would be back.
Great place for great homestyle cooking. Is now my go-to place for breakfast in Nashville.
My waitress Debbie was the best. Kept my refills flowing and was a pleasure to converse with.
We chose this randomly while passing through Nashville. Looking for homestyle breakfast. Good food and service.
Appears to be a local institution. A little bit like going back in time.
Will eat there again if passing through.
Classic simple and delicious breakfast. Good coffee and sweet tea. The home fries were perfect .Our server Melissa was great. I loved the look of the place too. Very comfortable.
I visited Jays when in Nashville for business. It is a good country cooking restaurant. Nothing fancy just good Southern cooking. My husband loves Southern cooking so this is his favorite spot when having to work on this side of Nashville. Staff was very friendly and service was relatively quick. I was able to get our meals to go when needed.
Great service, even when it’s busy. The place is definitely on older establishment and seems as though any renovations has been to keep the same feel as at it’s opening. Most of the menu items are solid. Their sausage is excellent. You are not going to beat their prices around town. Plenty of seating, but you may find yourself waiting on the weekend.
