As a pastry chef the name "Yeast" called to my soul! So while our family of 4 was on vacation we had to stop by Yeast Nashville. As a family of foodies and foodies in training we ordered a little of everything! My personal favorite was the eggs with pesto, spinach and cheese! The eggs were amazingly fluffy with just the right amount of pesto to spead the flavor without over powering the spinach. The kolach both sweet and savory were perfect! The dough had just the right amount of sweetness to set off the salty sausage and fresh jalapeno. My 9 year old son (who did not share) had the blackberry and Goat cheese kolach and judging by the speed of the diapearence it lacking nothing. The most unremarkable part of the experience were the breakfast tacos but even they were tasty. All I can say in the end is that the wait is worth it!
Finally! A jalapeno kolache that is delicious and makes me feel like I am home in Texas! This place is amazing. I even enjoyed the northern fruit style kolache.
Oh My Word! Who doesn't like sweet bread stuffed with something salty. Sausage & Havarti was just right. Of course we had to grab a sweet cream cheese, cherry and apple cinnamon.
We will definitely be back to try more! 😁👍
It is hard for me to review this place. I’m patronizing Yeast Nashville almost weekly and always have good experience. Service is consistently good and efficient. Mostly, my order is simple. It’s a cappuccino. That’s when it becomes tricky. It’s not a ambiance, because it’s kind of cool. Shows a working environment. What bothers me is that is so limited seating places or better to say chairs. Used to be a table outside, but not anymore. I believe, there is enough nice, sunny days in winter months to justify having the table or couple chairs outside.
They were super helpful in choosing my pastries and everything was amazing. Highly, highly recommend.
Surprisingly good kolaches! Was a bit skeptic with the term Tex czech as I come from Texas and have been to The Little Czech Bakery (that's the famous one) in West, Texas many times. I do have to say the bread is better at Yeast, bready and chrisp without being to sweet. All in all a fantastic place and great food with good coffee. Glad we found it!
Nice people, good food. The kolaches were different from the ones in Texas. My matcha latte was really stronger than I like and I couldn't get it sweet enough. The Apple Spice Latte was really good!
Yeast Nashville baked our wedding "cake" in March of 2023 (Cinnamon Rolls). We were so grateful for their communication and quality pastries. Many guests commented on how delicious the cinnamon rolls were. We highly recommend visiting Yeast Nashville in store or for catering needs.
If you love kolaches, this may be the best you'll ever have. Located in the east part of Nashville, they bake all different kinds of kolaches every morning they are open. The jalapeno and cheddar kolache was great, but the sweet cream cheese one was OUT OF THIS WORLD! They warm it up for you and wow- the taste, the texture. It was SO GOOD! I savored every bite and that thing was big too!

LOCATION 🏡🏭🏚🛖 - Very small. No indoor seating, 3 tables with 4 chairs each for outdoor seating. Two of those tables have umbrellas ⛱
SERVICE 🙋🏼♂️💁🏼🕺✍️ - The man that took my order at the front was extremely friendly. The entire staff seemed relaxed and happy to be working together.
FOOD 🍔🥗🍕🍜 - My wife got a sweet pastry and I got a jalapeño Kolache. The kolache was so good we went back for a another one for seconds 😬
PRICE - 💰💵💲💳 - CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! Coffee was $2, almost everything else is under $3-$4!
Overall Thoughts - Wife and I came with our corgis and sat outside and had an absolutely splendid time eating high quality food for a very low price!

I’m a Texas girl visiting Nashville & was SO excited to find this place where they served BOTH Texas kolaches & breakfast tacos! I was told the owner lived in Texas for many years. The sausage & cheese kolache was yummy & the dough had a nice sweetness to it. I also enjoyed the cream cheese kolache. The breakfast taco was decent but pricey at $5. My caramel vanilla latte was delish. Service was friendly & place is super cute! It was also nostalgic to see all the bumper stickers from Texas.
YUM! Never had kolaches before, but let me tell you, I’m a fan now! They are some of the tastiest desserts I’ve had. The bread around the fruit center is not sweet, but paired with that center deliciousness, it is exactly what you want in a pastry. I tried the cinnamon apple and blueberry ones (mainly because they were the only 2 they had left), and I will definitely be a regular customer here from now on.
