Visited this place two nights ago and will definitely come when we come back to Nashville. It was recommended by someone who lives here and everything was excellent. Our server William was top notch with his hospitality skills (especially with the picky eater in our party). The food was excellent and atmosphere very humble and personable. Really am very pleased with this dining experience.
I asked my sister to recommend a Mexican style restaurant in Nashville, we live in West Tennessee. She recommended Mamacita’s. Service, food and drink the best. Peruvian chicken the best chicken I have ever had. We will be back!
The service was excellent and the place has a really cool industrial vibe. One cool element is that they serve “skinny” margaritas which is somewhat uncommon at restaurants. The food was really good, too. If they are looking to improve one thing—-it would be to not charge for chips and salsa. That’s always a downer simply bc when you go to most Mexican restaurants, that is something you don’t have to pay for. The gourmet tacos are also really good.
I’ve been enjoying Taco Mamacita for awhile, but yesterday was the first time I’ve been able to dine here at their new location.
The food was wonderful as always! I tried the (new to me) Fried Avocado, Cauliflower and Chorizo-Potato Taco’s. They were delicious! My fave was the Cauliflower! Amazing.
Like the new atmosphere. It’s brighter, a bit more open and a lot less noisy. The service was top notch, with several folks taking care of us quickly and with a friendly smile.
Best “non-authentic” tacos I’ve had in quite some time. Service at the bar was great, they were super friendly and attentive while clearly being very busy. Drink was perfect, tacos were great, can’t ask for much else!
Yum! Great atmosphere and excellent service from Janet. The food was very good. We started with the chips and salsa in order to do taste three of their “made in house” salsas. Each was delicious! We ordered tacos and were very pleased. My favorite was the Sloppy Jose Taco. Great twist on a classic.
Service and food were excellent!! I am a huge Mexican fan and this restaurant was top-notch! Guacamole was to die for!!
Loved the difference in nachos, our waitress went above and beyond as well.
Lunch at Taco Mamacita was fantastic! The bar tender was so friendly and helpful too. I ordered a mix and match 3 taco plate and loved all of them. The atmosphere has a super fun vibe. I’d highly recommend this place!
Strolled in on a thursday night to check this place out. We have had many a jalapeno avocado margarita(frozen!) before but this would be the first time eating there. I gotta say I was impressed with the service at the bar and the attentiveness of the management team. I was a little particular with some of my requests and they bent over backwards to accommodate everything I asked for. Now for the bitter truth. The food here is just so so. The salsa verde was poorly blended and the flavor a bit bland. I tried the diablo as well and it was truly dissapointing. The gyro meat was quite dry but the flavor was there. I got the nachos sub lettuce for chips and they slapped and were perfect for a guy coming off a fast. All in all its tex mex done so so b8t where this place truly shines is the creative cocktails centered around agave. A chill hang, a lesser bartaco. If there isn't a bartaco close by this is solid. Germantown needed a decent mexican place. If you are visiting there are better mexican/latin places like calacas, bartaco, oscars taco shop. For the locals this is a solid hang especially at the out door patio bar with your pup. Plus you can grab a shot of fernett next door at mothers ruin when you're done eating.
I ordered the Peruvian Roasted Chicken and it was amazing. The dipping sauces it came with were so good. The queso and guac are both great, as well. If you like street corn, theirs is some of my favorite! The service was excellent. And, it's such a cute spot. Definitely will be back!
Food is good but not like at the old location or how it is in Chattanooga. It has more variety and therefore less tacos. Tacos are good but I feel like the ones served at the old location were better. And glass of spirits are too pricy to even consider..... especially when you know how much the markup actually is compared to liquor store and they don't pay nearly that much. I may be back but with how much further it is it I'm not so sure. Best of luck and if your used to the old location, expect familiar foods but it to be different....and still taste great.
This place was wonderful. I had been exploring Nashville all day while my husband was working and came across this spot. I had guac and chips and the fried plantains. Both were really yummy.
