Great southern breakfast cafe. Heather was so friendly and one of the nicest waitress we've had. Very inexpensive for the amount of food. Free complimentary sausage gravy with breakfast. Don't judge by the outside. Usually line so don't always expect to get in quick.

In East Nashville for the first time and looking for a place for breakfast, we decided to try Nashville Biscuit House. I was somewhat concerned given the occasional bad review here. We did wait a long time - about 30 minutes at 11 a.m. - but once seated the service was fast and friendly. And the food was worth the wait! At our table we ordered eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes and home fries. And everything was delicious. Can't speak to the quality of grits, but let's keep this in perspective. You're in a biscuit house. Order biscuits. You won't be disappointed.

WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?. My wife and I met at the NBH on Saturday for breakfast--advise going early as it fills up quite fast. I ordered the Lumberjack and was thoroughly impressed as everything on the platter was quite good. Here's a couple of items that really stuck out: (1) the bacon, good size portions and perfectly crisp [no stringiness or raw pieces] and (2) home fries potatoes. Not a lot of people get home fries--they were crisp. I would advise to add some onions as I do with mine when frying them up for breakfast.

We will definitely go back the next time in Nashville!

We showed up at six in the morning with a party of 23. The waitresses seemed surprised at the large group, but they handled the situation with grace. Everyone got their orders and ate well. Not a single complaint, even from the picky ones. Many thanks to the cooks and waitresses of Nashville Biscuit House for a good morning meal before a long, ten hour car trip!

LOVE it. It is what it is; a cheap and hearty breakfast in a comfy environment. What makes the Biscuit spectacular, though, is the service. Probably the friendliest waitresses in the world, let alone Nashville. You can tell that they are honestly having a good time. They laugh, joke with newbies, rag on the regulars, and will always go above and beyond to ensure your meal is enjoyable. And they work together so well!! It's truly is a joy to watch. And yeah, the biscuits are delicious.

Straight forward breakfast. Tried this place since the family was out of town and it was very similar to Sylavan Park restaurant with better servers and a better sausage. Not sure why all the breakfast places in nashville use frozen then fried potatoes with no seasoning as their hash browns. Also not sure why this place is called biscuit house as it is good butnothing Special. A good place for a no frills breakfast with good service.

No frills basics served quickly, and with a smile. It's a greasy spoon breakfast place, although I've enjoyed their burgers for lunch. It's no frills, and it's filled with locals. The wait staff is wonderful and the grits are terrific. I always go for the Nashvillian, although the pancake meal deal is the best breakfast value on the East side.

This is breakfast diner food at its finest. It’s simple, it’s tasty and it’s served with a smile! Try the pancakes or the country fried steak AND be sure to have a biscuit or two! They are golden, fluffy, and delicious. You don’t need to add butter or gravy (country or sausage gravy is available), but you’ll want to!

Delish breakfast items!! Thisv place seems to always stay full, so prepare for a wait. It's worth it though. The inside is smaller. The restaurant is clean. Service was great! Did came out quickly and everything was correct Definitely a place to try!!

The omelet I had was good, nothing extraordinary. The biscuit and gravy was also good. The French I can not recommend, granted they were cold before we got around to trying them so they may of been better when they first came out. If you are close by its a good spot to try.

When it comes to culinary treasures, sometimes the most exceptional experiences are not always hidden away in obscure corners, but right out in the open, waiting to be discovered. This is the case with The Nashville Biscuit House, an unassuming gem nestled in East Nashville, TN. The moment you lay eyes on the weathered signage and slightly dilapidated exterior, you might second-guess your breakfast choice. But don't be quick to judge a book by its cover. In the world of culinary delight, it's often the unexpected places that offer the most delightful surprises. The faded and sun-worn street-front sign or the worn-out facade are mere distractions from the gastronomic delights that await inside. A glance around the entrance will reveal eager patrons lining up outside, some waiting on the curb, while others sit in their cars. This is a testament to the food's reputation—people are willing to endure a wait just to savor the breakfast here. As you step through the front doors, you're greeted with a warm and friendly smile from the greeter, who efficiently guides you to an iPad for a quick registration. You'll provide your name and cell number, which is used to alert you when your table is ready. The beauty of this system is that it allows you to wait in your car or even head back home if you're a local. In our experience, the estimated 45-minute wait was surprisingly accurate, and the prospect of a delicious meal kept us patient. The restaurant's waitstaff is the epitome of hospitality, embodying the friendly spirit of Southern service. Their attentive and kind demeanor sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. When it comes to the menu, The Nashville Biscuit House doesn't disappoint. Like any true food enthusiasts, we decided to share several dishes to savor a variety of flavors. Our selections included the Lumber Jack, which comes with your choice of two pancakes or French toast, three eggs, bacon and sausage, home fries or grits, and toast or biscuit. We opted for the fluffy pancakes adorned with succulent blueberries, ham, and their signature biscuit. To complement this hearty meal, we couldn't resist ordering a side of biscuit and gravy. Their motto, "Good Country Style Cooking," isn't just a catchphrase; it's a promise they fulfill with every plate. The restaurant boldly claims to be the "Best Breakfast in Nashville," and they back it up with flavors that resonate with the soul. Depending on your location in the city, opting for an Uber or Lyft ride might be the most convenient choice. East Nashville can get quite busy, and parking spaces are limited. Surprisingly, the cost of a rideshare is often less than what you'd spend on parking, not to mention the hassle you'd save. The restaurant does offer a drive-thru, although we can't be certain of its functionality for breakfast service. However, given the mouthwatering options available inside, we'd recommend dining in for the full experience. Perhaps the drive-thru comes into its own for their lunch menu. What truly sets The Nashville Biscuit House apart is the global recognition it has received. Near the cash register, you'll spot a map adorned with pins representing patrons who have journeyed from around the world to indulge in their delectable offerings. It's clear from the restaurant's signage, website, and the attitude of its staff that they understand it's their customers who keep them in business, and they wholeheartedly respect and appreciate this fact. Now, before you plan your visit to The Nashville Biscuit House, don't forget to check their website for essential information, including hours of operation, as this charming breakfast spot is a local treasure that you won't want to miss. Whether you're a local or a traveler passing through Nashville, your taste buds deserve to experience the culinary delight that awaits at this unassuming yet remarkable breakfast haven in East Nashville. #LifeAfterAdulting #NashvilleBiscuitHouse #EastNashville

They say that the best restaurants you will find are the little hole-in-the-wall places off the beaten path. That depiction holds true with the Nashville Biscuit House. While not very appealing from the outside, it makes up for it on the inside with satisfying comfort food and down-home southern hospitality. I was greeted at the door with a smiling face and a genuine “good morning”. After a glance at the menu, I went with the Nashvillian with grits and a side of sausage gravy. The grits were the perfect consistency and the eggs were slightly scorched but pretty close to being perfect. The biscuit was fluffy and buttery. This was not some fru fru, yuppie breakfast. It was just homestyle southern cooking at its best. I can’t say enough about the wait staff. They were all super friendly and genuine, striking up conversations with every table they waited on. While I did have my on server, I felt like there was no specific person just for me. They all worked in tandem checking on people, whether it was their table or not which made for efficient service and happy guests. The prices were better than expected and one of the cheapest non fast food meals I’ve around Nashville. For what I got it was $9.83 plus tip. That’s hard to find nowadays. I would recommend getting there early to beat the crowds. I arrived around 7:30 am and it wasn’t busy but by the time I left a little after 8, the place was pretty much full. Parking is limited. When full, you may have to find a place somewhere close by but be sure not to park in any tow-away zones. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and this won’t be the last time I visit this little gem.

Authentic American country breakfast. No frills, just pure quality food. We got the biscuit and gravy , Nashville breakfast and the tater tots bowl. Do try both the sausage and country gravy with the biscuits as both are very flavorful and gets your biscuits to a different level. The Nashville souther breakfast comes with fresh grits , eggs and sausage. Also give the peach cobbler a try , its solid and delicious. Highly recommended for brunch . This place closes at 1 pm so better reach on time

This place was delicious. It is a dive but the food is amazing. I ordered The Griddle - two pancakes, 2 eggs over easy and corned beef hash. The coffee was good and the service was terrific. The food comes out fast. You have to wait a little bit to sit down but it’s well worth it. I highly recommend.
