This place was recommended to us by a close friend and it did not disappoint. Wanting a spot to go all out for a date night or anything this is the place. Hosts were super nice and welcoming. The ambiance was classy but cozy and upscale without the pretentious atmosphere.

Amazing work experience for our friends bachelor party. We got several of the large samplers and was phenomenal. I travel all over North America..this was some of the best sushi I have ever had!!
We have tried a new place everyday since arriving in Nashville. Virago takes the trophy for being the best in all categories. Our server was Jason and he’s was on top of everything every step of the way. From his suggestions to his promptness keeping drinks full he was amazing! The sushi was probably some of the best we have ever had, the katana roll and the dynamite roll are great options. As far as the restaurant it was clean and had a very good atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back again.
Wanted to have a fancy dinner out while in Nashville for a couple days. Virago did not disappoint. Loved the whole vibe, food was delicious and service was fantastic. We'll be back to try something new next time we're in town.
Was in town for business, and loved the impromptu decision to dine here alone. Loved my Lychee Sakatini, Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna, and Truffle roll. Service and attention by the bartenders was excellent, and “look” of the restaurant was awesome! I saved enough for desert, which was also fantastic.
Loved our experience here for the first time and will be back! The wait staff, servers, everyone just to perfection and of course the most important piece, the food! If you want and a great appetizer get the lobster shots and order as many as you want because they are amazing. Thanks team
Awesome food. We sat at the bar, around 6PM on a Sunday. Drinks came out sooo fast and we’re tasty. Food came out a bit slower, especially the sashimi. I unfortunately did not get the agedashi tofu as the server said it is made with extra firm tofu instead of the traditional soft tofu. Entrance has the English name in much smaller letters but easy to find once you’ve done it once. I actually like the non-English name as the star of the entrance better. Would definitely come again!

Me and my boyfriend went for our 2 year anniversary and it was a very enjoyable experience! We got to our table and they had a card that said happy anniversary on it, and our waiter was super kind and patient with us since we didn't know what some of the menu items were and were asking lots of questions. We got the sushi tour and the food was all really good and well made, and also plated well. We also got the creme brulee which was really good and came with some mochi on the side!
Loved loved loved the whole little vibe at virago! Sit at the bar! The chairs are soooo comfy and we had fun. Started the night with a flaming dragon and a exposure effect. Both very well curated. Grabbed a Brussel sprout appetizer onb with some hot chicken bao. Both very good. The 3 rolls we chose were fire crunch , smoky heat and the Godzilla. Can’t go wrong with any of these choices. Will return next time we’re in town.
