Had the most wonderful service and brunch here. Thank you for making our last meal in Nashville the best! Just like grandmas home cooking and nothing disappointed! Highly recommend this hidden gem!
We went here every day for breakfast. It is a really neat restaurant. The decor is a patriotic theme. The food for breakfast was great. Lox and bagel was so good.
Great food and service! it does get busy in the morning because there aren't many options for breakfast in the immediate downtown area. Dinner is also great! Usually much more quite. Not too many Mom and Pop places left in this town, so It is a favorite for me!
Chicken & Waffles – Belgian waffle, boneless fried chicken, vanilla maple syrup, whipped butter, fresh fruit. Again planning an early breakfast before attending the morning sessions of AACE 2015 it was to local’s joint 417 Union that we pointed the GPS and arriving just moments after opening to find a few folks already seated it was to down-home service and surprisingly excellent fare that we were treated – the outdated online menu a lone disappointment as I was denied s Snickerdoodle some sources feel to be beyond compare.
Wonderful breakfast. Enjoyed a hearty breakfast in the nice atmosphere great fot conversation
DELICIOUS and relaxing atmosphere.. Prime hash was incredible. Potatoes in the hash -perfectly cooked with a slight sweetness - Yukon golds most likely. 3 perfectly cooked eggs on top. Thick, crispy chewy sour dough toast. French toast was yummy. Coffee was plentiful and good. We found the service and management to be very attentive. Especially for a busy Jan 1st.
Delicious downtown diner. This restaurant with a small-town diner feel and awesome food was close to our hotel. We went a little before noon and I had a delicious bacon, mushroom, and swiss omelet and my husband had the club sandwich. The club had real ham and turkey, not just lunchmeat, and an awesome herbed mayo. The service was excellent too. It was our favorite eating spot while we were in Nashville on business, and we highly recommend it.
Nice standard. Food is always good, although not consistent. Sometimes great, sometimes just OK. Service is not overly friendly and sometimes there are lags, but a nice place downtown to walk to from work and a great variety on the menu. They serve breakfast all day, which I love. The roasted pepper hash is wonderful. My kids think the chicken tenders are the best they have ever had - they split an order and it was plenty for them (and they are pretty big eaters).
GO. GO, GO, GO!. This place is great, seriously. I'm not sure why there are negative reviews, however we all know people are more likely to complain than compliment. So here I am with compliments for 417 Union. I personally am glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews on here because I would have just walked right on past this Union Street gem. Stopped in for breakfast Thanksgiving weekend and were very pleasantly surprised. Staff is friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent! Breakfast portions are HUGE! Try the country fried steak or an omelet and I promise you won't leave disappointed OR hungry! The atmosphere of this place can't be beat. It is very historical and filled with WWII artifacts/memorabilia. They support our country and our military and give a 10% discount to all military (and fire/police/ems) active duty and retired. This is definitely the place I like to support! Can't wait to try lunch and dinner another time! Do yourself a favor and go to 417 Union!!
417 union is ok. The food is fine but each time we have been the service leaves something to be desired.
YUM. Came here recently on a cold/rainy Saturday morning with my husband. We weren't in a rush and only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The place was packed but we were greeted promptly by our server. Received our first mimosas rather quickly while trying to decide what to order - it all sounded so good. We decided on the Caramelized Banana Pancakes and the Country Fried Steak breakfast. Since the restaurant was completely full, we figured it might take a little while to get our food so we had another mimosa and enjoyed each other's company. Our server checked on us a few times and apologized for the "long wait" (which we found amusing, considering we weren't upset nor did we feel like we had waited that long, maybe they get a lot of complaints about wait time?). Our food came out after a reasonable amount of time by another server (it seems like everyone helps each other out, lots of attentive food runners) and it looked & smelled delicious. The caramelized banana pancakes were SO delicious, the rum and maple sauce was thick and perfect, not for those who don't like things too sweet. I ate way more than I should have but it was just THAT good! I couldn't decide between the pancakes and biscuits & gravy, but thankfully my husband's breakfast came with a biscuit and it was just as yummy as I hoped it would be. Over all, it was a fantastic breakfast, good mimosas (the first two any way, you could tell the bartender quit caring after that because he was so busy), great service, and adequately priced for the portions and quality.
The food was so delicious. By far the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever tasted. The waffle was perfectly cooked and the chicken had great flavor. The loaded potatoes were a perfect compliment to the burgers. The pancakes were perfectly cooked, flakey with a great buttermilk taste. You have to pay for parking and it’s a little tight but that to be expected when you’re in downtown. Everything was great!
Nice breakfast here. Good food, decent prices. Server was very attentive and affable. Went out of her way to accommodate my wife's allergy. Cool historic theme. No wait at 930am on this Friday. Wear a layer if you get cold... upstairs was chilly. Hearty menu... no light fare like parfait, but that was okay with us today.
Stopped in for Breakfast and Brunch. Wait was about 20 minutes or so which was to be expected on a Saturday morning. Service was wonderful. Everyone was kind and personable. We ordered the Bloody Mary, 3 Biscuits, Crispy Chicken Breakfast, and the lemon blueberry pancakes. I would say everything was just “okay” nothing to write home about and for the price I don’t think we will be back. After tip our total was near $80. Liked the vibe and old time feel.
One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Pancakes are perfect, pretty much don't need syrup. The eggs and potatoes are tasty, the ham is amazing and the biscuits are unmatched. I challenge anyone to make a better biscuit. Such a good meal!
We loved it here! Wonderful food and service. I ordered the prime rib hash and it was delicious, my eggs were cooked perfectly. I also tried the fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade and it was outstanding! My friend ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes, they were fluffy and delicious. We went around noon on a Thursday and were seated right away.
Stopped in for breakfast, and the service was so courteous, friendly, and attentive. We had the Prime Rib Hash and the 417 Omelet. They were absolutely delicious. And their biscuits with homemade jam are divine.
Great service, food, and atmosphere. We had Anthony’s Favorite (classic breakfast), Prime Rib Hash (close 1st), and the Pork Chop Breakfast (winner!). The biscuit and jam made in-house, I would recommend ordering extras. This was our first time eating pork chop for breakfast and sure glad we tried. Everything we ordered was great, but the pork chop breakfast was the winner.
Stopped in for breakfast. Super cute spot and fantastic service. Food was ok but not great. Very disappointed in the biscuit gravy as it was like water…biscuit gravy is a staple down south like grits and sweet tea. Coffee was luke warm but tasted good. I ordered the strawberries and cream pancakes…they were good and the strawberry preserves they served with it were good. Very pricey at $22 for three pancakes. The prices and quality are indicative of location. It was worth the experience to try once.
We really enjoyed our breakfast at 417 Union during our recent trip to Nashville! Be prepared for a wait, it’s a small restaurant and it is a very popular spot! They serve good ol’ Southern diner food for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, etc. The entire restaurant is WW2 themed and has a ton of memorabilia, which was super cool! The service is amazing, they are attentive and hard working. The restaurant has a full bar, so bloody’s and mimosas are available for breakfast! The food was yummy, it was typical heart attack breakfast food which is always tasty!! The menu isn’t large but there’s several choices for your Southern breakfast needs. I definitely recommend trying this place is you’re in Nash!
Came here with the wife a couple weeks ago for breakfast and I will say I wasn’t disappointed.
We were quickly seated and greeted by a gentleman, I believe his name was Mike.
She ordered a mimosa and I ordered a mimosa but with beer instead of champagne.
He had never done that before but said he would give it a try. So I picked out a craft beer and asked him to use that instead. For never doing it before, Mike did pretty well.
We then order food. We got the candied bacon for an appetizer. It was pretty good. For our breakfast I ordered the Ayla's Favorite (Everything bagel served with salmon, onions, and eggs scrambled together. Also came with hash browns.) I decided to put the eggs and salmon mix on the bagel and eat it like a sandwich. Man it had some good flavor and the eggs were cooked perfect.
She ordered the Bananas Foster with sausage on the side. She said it was delicious. The syrup was really good and wasn’t too sweet. Overall this was a really good breakfast experience and the service was very good too. We will def be back when we are in town.
