This little vegetarian eatery is super cute abd the food is fabulous. We stopped twice on a recent road trip. The first time was the bomb... every dish was beyond amazing and the service was fabulous.
The second time a week later, my seitan on my BLT was a little tough to chew, not at all like the first one I had. The service was also really slow the second time, even though they weren't that busy.
All in all, I recommend checking them out as the food is generally very good. Definitely try to vegan queso - literally the best I've ever had anywhere.
The inside of the restaurant is really cute - music is a little loud in terms of having a conversation while you're sitting inside, but not unbearable.
Prices are affordable and overall it was a great experience and we would definitely return if in the area again.
The Wild Cow is always a favorite when in Nashville, Tennessee. We always get good food when we come here. Today, Brad was our server and eventually warmed up, and can you believe it. He smiled. After that, all was good in the universe. The food was amazing, you have to try it. By the time I realized I didn't have pictures, well, you see the pictures. Just do it. Sept. 2, 2023 reviewed.
We pass through Nashville every couple of months and always try to stop in at the Wild Cow. It is just 2 miles east off the interstate at the Shelby exit and doesn't disappoint. If you're looking to try vegetarian, this is a great place to do it. Don't order something expecting it to taste like meat, because it isn't. You'll never be happy at any vegetarian restaurant if your ultimate goal is to eat meat. They have an amazingly diverse menu and their specials are always interesting. (Breakfast tacos with a pancake as the shell this last time we were in.) They have a nice drink selection, virgin and experienced. It is in a nice area and we've always been able to find parking within a block. The "new" location is definitely a whole brighter than their original spot a bit further in, and their food has remained top notch over the years. You should definitely moo-ve The Wild Cow up on your places to try list if you haven't been!
Could use some update on booth cushions and such; it’s been a while since we’ve been here and everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, and chill. Artichoke dip,, blt, soup of the day, lentil stew, chickpea salad all exceeded expectation. *Chef’s kiss we ate the soup and appetizer before I thought to photograph it:)
Hands down my favorite vegan restaurant. I was traveling from Mississippi back home to Cleveland Ohio, and stayed in Nashville a night to split the trip. Before heading to my hotel I stopped into the Wild Cow for lunch. John recommended the Buffalo Beans and Greens and it was amazing! In past visits I ordered the Wild Reuben, so I ordered two to go to pack in my cooler. They traveled great and I enjoyed them as a lunch and dinner back at home. Amazing food and amazing people. Shout out to John for his kindness and great recommendation. Cannot wait to return the next time I'm in Nashville!
Favorite vegan food in Nashville! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip with pita which was smokey and satisfying. I had the portobello tacos and garlicky kale which were super fun and fresh tasting. We ordered dessert to-go and I have to say the cake is absolutely stunning! So good!
Incredibly hospitable staff! We had a great time and will definitely be back.
We placed a takeout order online and the food was ready when promised. We ordered the taco salad and the chickpea salad. Both salads were amazing! The flavors were there and they were very filling! Can't wait to come back!
This food was absolutely and unequivocally bussin. Approachable price point and delicious vegan sandwiches, what more could you want? Well I’ll tell you, you’ll definitely want the vegan spinach and artichoke dip with cashew Parmesan because it was AMAZING. Will definitely be ordering from here again tomorrow.
I had the quinoa veggie bowl, it was excellent. Cute little place with outdoor seating.
Had the Stir Fry and sweet potato, pumpkin soup. Very good indeed.
Delicious vegan food with great service. I enjoyed highly recommend the Caesar salad and queso. I found it really odd my nachos didn’t have the queso it was disappointing as the queso was delicious. The rest of the food made up for it. I really enjoyed this relaxed homely vibe. I would like to note, my friends that ate here are not vegan. They loved everything as much as I did!
