Last night my friend and I ate for the first time at Restaurant Bonjour. We had a delicious meal that exceeded our expectations. He had the rack of lamb and gave a rave review of the preparation and flavor. The onion soup is superb and the escargot among the best I have ever had. Veronique was delightfully attentive and provided excellent service. And, by the way -- the price is the best in town!
Phenomenal just phenomenal! From service to quality of food and price. Best escargot i ever had not rubbery but soft and sweet. I'll let my photos talk for themselves.
TRY THIS PLACE! We felt like we had a mini French/European vacation! We had the best lunch & conversation here! We were greeted by Veronique who made sure we were taken care of. We sat outside and enjoyed the Escargot and a split a lamb baguette sandwich ( it was so good I didn't get a picture ;) We would highly recommend this place. It was casual yet the food was top notch.
Ted and Veronique are very welcoming!
We are pretty well traveled and like a friendly feel with down to earth people...on the rare times we do go out. This place hit all the needs and then some. Our dog was treated to a fresh scrap of lamb brought out to us directly from the kitchen. Such a sweet touch. They truly care about their customers! We wish there were more places in town like this. Thank you both again! -B&M
What a pleasure. Every time we visit this little gem we come away pleased having had an unpretentious French meal. My wife being French, having been raised by a Cordon Bleu
chef in France knows food. Naples is devoid of those want-to-be French restaurants yet this restaurant is always consistently good.
My husband and I love French food and have been to every french restaurant in town and Bonjour is by far the BEST one. From the second to walk into the restaurant they make you feel like you are welcome. I love the Duck it's the best I've ever had. My husband also loved his dish which was the filet mignon. It's also nice that the owner and chef Bernard comes out to greet everyone and ask how everything was.
The whole experience was FABULOUS!!! Just look at the photo :-)
This was our first time at this establishment for dinner, and we will return.
Food was good, not too much but tasty and well presented.
Service was attentive and friendly.
Worth a visit.
Very good French restaurant. Not too big, so you know the food will be made to the perfection. The food is so delicious , it melts in your mouth . The desserts are also outstanding. Loved it very much.
We had the red snapper. All I can say is that every bite I had I couldn't help but to close my eyes and savor the flavor. They praired it with a white wine. I have never liked a white wine before this one. I spoke with the owner for a few minutes and it's obvious he only wants the best for his patrons. The service was quick and friendly.
Amazing little hidden gem!!! Real French restaurant with a very well executed real french menu. Great staff. Very reasonable prices. Definitely on of my new favorites. Started with the escargots. Delicious. My colleague had the pâté de campagne. Delicious as well. Then I had the duck and he had the red snapper special. Both were amazing. We shared the tarte Tatin for dessert. Perfect!!!
We were surprised, amazed and delighted by Restaurant Bonjour from the moment we walked in the door. Totally unpretentious yet lovely, it was as if we had stepped into a local eatery smack dab in the middle of France, where everyone knew one another and you just knew every meal was made with love.
Do not miss the French Onion Soup! it is the real deal! I am not really a big eater, but I found myself mopping the bottom of the bowl it was that good! The duck was plentiful, meaty, tender and not too fatty. The sole was perfectly prepared and presented-and yes, I ate every morsel, moaning, "This is so good" at every bite.. But there was so much more on the menu that was equally delicious I'm sure. Just as we were finishing, the chef came out from the kitchen holding a giant apple pear tart warm from the oven to show everyone. It was a work of art! Of course we had to try it and it was fabulous. So was the espresso! And the prices were fair and reasonable.
So, whether you like five-star restaurants or "hidden gems" in Naples, I would put Restaurant Bonjour at the very top of your list.
