We were in the area and decided on some ice cream and stopped in. There are a lot of choices on the menu from cups, cones, sundies, smoothies, and acai bowls. So it was a little overwhelming at first without a games play. We settled on ice cream and a banana split. Not only was it good but the service was excellent. There was only a single server there, but she was nice and helpful for someone that was clueless about what they wanted.

This place is a real highlight of any trip to OBX, and shouldn’t be missed.

Haven’t tried anything but the açaí bowls - I mean, why would you, lol? They are fantastic. Lots of choices for your five free add-ons mean your bowl can be delicious in tons of different ways.

Fun interior, fun merch, and fun, happy employees ensure a great experience.

Can get crazy busy - I like going late-morning or around lunchtime, when wait times are minimal.

One employee particularly was somewhat rude. I watched her with different customers as we sat to eat our ice cream. She rolled her eyes as she turned away after taking a customers order, mumbled to another employee, they both looked back and at the customer and gave each other a look which was obvious disgust. She did this with several customers, like she was rating them using facial expressions. Very immature and rude. Otherwise, The Spot IS THE BEST OF THE BEACH for Ice Cream! We absolutely LOVE IT and make it a point to come every time we visit the OBX!

SO glad to have found this place on the OBX! The avocado toast was so good I went back for a 2nd piece - and they even serve gluten free bread! The smoothie bowls are also great. Atmosphere is really cute with beachy vibes with several photos ops inside or out. If you’re like me and enjoy purchasing merchandise at places like these, you're in for a treat. They have t-shirts, tumblers, hats, stickers, and more.
There is also a picnic area outside for giant connect 4. Looking forward to visiting The Spot each year we vacation on the Banks.

Great menu options, quick service! Tried the smoothie and an açaí bowl. Both very good. Heads up: They use paper straws that break down pretty quickly so I ended up having to take my lid off and just drink my smoothie from the cup.
