We had a nice plate of sea food, shrimp, oysters, fried oyster, beets, and coleslaw ! Everything was cooked perfectly, and the service was quick and pleasant. Thank you, and we will be back.

Terrific local place. Got there and were served graciously and quickly. Garden salad with grilled chicken so awesome and fresh! Loved my cod, shrimp and hush puppies. Twice baked potato so yummy. Loved it.

We had the 2 piece fried chicken dinner. It was really good. Priced right. Excellent service. We saw the Manteo bookstore guy as we were waiting to be seated. You know if the locals eat there, it must be good!

My husband and I were visiting Manteo and I had eaten here before. The first night, we had great service! She was extremely attentive, friendly, and the food was very good
We went back the same week for dinner service. The food was still very good, but the service was lacking. Our server seemed not interested in us or being in the building. The host was as friendly. She just took my money, didn't thank us, say hello, anything.

The friendly hostess greeted us, and our server, who made our stay memorable, was friendly and attentive. I started the meal with a Hatteras Style Clam Chowder. A very light clear broth soup chock full of clams and potatoes. The clams were sweet and tender, tender potatoes and a flavorful broth. So much so that it didn't need any additional seasoning. My son enjoyed his Buffalo Shrimp appetizer as his meal. My wife ordered the Fried Chicken lunch entree with Cole Slaw and French Fries. She raced about the crispy exterior, and how tender the chicken was. My wife enjoyed both of her sides, Cole Slaw and French Fries. I ordered the Hickory BBQ Platter with a Baked Sweet Potato and Cole Slaw. The Hickory BBQ Platter was tender pulled pork, which was slowly cooked for 12 hours onsite at Darrell's. Wow. Talk about delicious. The pork was fork tender, and marinated in a vinegar based sauce. The addition of a side of sweet BBQ sauce made it taste like sweet and sour pork. Quite delicious. The Cole Slaw was crispy and creamy. Then the Baked Sweet Potato was tender and sweet, and the addition of cinnamon sugar made the sweet potato taste even better.

Was recommended here by a local. (Shout out to First Mate Ethan for the tip.) Definitely a great choice. Will be coming back here for sure. The food was amazing and so was the wait staff. The atmosphere was very calm and and family style. Loved it so much! Both our servers (we here during shift change) were wonderful! Thanks Laura and Casey! Yall were both great! Will be seeing yall again!

The food was delicious and the service was awesome, my wife and I had breakfast one morning and dinner later that day, I'm so glad we stopped by there, I would recommend it to everyone, It was a very relaxing place to enjoy a meal.

OMG there food was good must try it when you in the area.... for this picky person here I was about to find something.... we went shopping practically next door 1st at the Christmas store, then came here for lunch... I had a burger n fries with MALT vinegar again... yummy yummy

I REALLY enjoyed this restaurant!! The food was FANTASTIC!!! I got the crab cakes, fries and broccoli salad. Best broccoli salad I've ever had. It had real crispy bacon in it, not the soggy fat pieces. The hush puppies were great as well as the seafood platter. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Decor was pleasant. Seems like a place all of the locals go! I would highly recommend this restaurant for all- locals and visitors!

Food was fast, appropriately priced for portions, and tasty.
Service and atmosphere - if you're blessed enough to have one of those grandparents' places that's like a second home (in the good way), especially growing up, then you'll feel at home here - current kids included.
