I always avoided coming here because of the line, but i finally caved. I didn't know I needed Duck Donuts in my life until this magical day. You will not go wrong stopping by this place. Yes, it's busy. Yes, there is a line, but sometimes, the best things are worth the wait. These donuts are made to order, and it makes a difference. You can also order online if you'd rather skip some of the wait. We bought way too many and had them for breakfast the following day, still amazing.
These donuts are phenomenal! Definitely a MUST for visitors. They are thick & fluffy, the right amount of sweetness, and worth it. They are pricey. But you are treating yourself to something unique. Order ahead online to make your trip faster. They are very busy& very popular.
Even at the busy time of 8am, the service is quick and efficient. There were nearly 20 orders ahead of mine, yet I waited no longer than 10 minutes or so. The donuts are always made to order, so they’re super fresh and hot. They also do NOT skimp on the toppings! I got a donut with chocolate icing and bacon bits, and the thing was SMOTHERED in chocolate and absolutely COVERED in bacon. What a way to start a day!
Amazing doughnuts. If you are interested on picking up anything before you head out of town on Saturday, get there 15min early. They open at 7 and I was there at 6:50 and it was just about right. But by 7:20 the line was out the door!

Great donuts and the inside was very clean. We would have given them five stars but the only place to eat your donuts is outside at the picnic tables and they were really dirty.
Yaaaaas. We are from Raleigh, these guys apparently were born in the coast. Delicious, what a great surprise to have them here. Location isn't the most glamorous, but it's the beach, everything is strip mall. Staff were plentiful and pleasant even on a Wednesday morning. You need to get the maple bacon caramel one. Enjoy your stay here!
Never have I ever loved cake donuts this much!!! The peanut butter glaze is to die for!! And the donut breakfast sandwiches? Bananas! Get it all! Cold brew is also solid!
At first when I walked in I thought maybe the dozen donuts would be over kill. Lean in and let me tell you, it isn't.
Omg! Best donuts we've ever had! Freshly made on-site, glazed, frosted, or decorated and given to you warm. It's fun to watch them be made, there is a large variety to choose from, and all tasted amazing! We enjoyed so much we went back the following day, and will be back again!
7/21/22 Dropped in to get some donuts today. Location closes at 1 p.m. so you need to come by early. Gentleman named Phil waited on us and explained that they prepare a fresh vanilla cake donut which can be frosted and embellished for each customer. There were a lot of suggestions or you can design the flavors you prefer. We chose two of the Maple Bacon donuts, one S'mores & one Boardwalk donut.
Phil answered all our questions about the donuts and merchandise & gave us directions we needed to find a nearby quilt shop. This kind of service is something that is priceless! The Duck Donuts were hot, soft, flavorful and delicious! We loved them and we loved our experience.

Had the chocolate caramel crunch, vanilla icing with mini chocolate chips and peanut butter icing with mini chocolate chips and it was very tasty. Made right in front of you so you know it's fresh. Only thing that would have made it better was a fork because the donuts fell apart very easy. A deal for 3 donuts may be a suggestion. Definitely recommend
