Sugar Shack Seafood Market

I was on a steamed seafood mission over our four days in Nags Head for a wedding recovery trip. The food and hospitality at sugar shack topped them all! Our first time trying she crab soup and loved it. The steamed shrimp, clams, and crab were so fresh and satisfying that I wanted the meal to last forever. I'm a sucker for joints that keep it simple and delicious, and it was a huge plus that the folks there were so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our banana pudding present :D definitely making this a go-to spot for our future trips to Nags Head!

Fresh and delicious seafood prepared and served in a very friendly atmosphere. The owners were helpful and pleasant and asked on several occasions if we were enjoying our meals and if they could do anything. We saw numerous people who were finished and leaving compliment the owners on the food and saying that they would be back. We also plan to be back!

5 star review. I love seafood and this is the place to come to because the food is so fresh. I got the seafood platter ( fish of the day + large shrimp). Restaurants in VA use seasoning to over power the taste of the not so fresh. The food here is so good you can actually taste the seafood. Unfortunately I stopped here on my way out of town or I would have came back a 2nd time. Will definitely be stopping back by when I come back next year.

We had a wonderful time at the Sugar Shack. Andy was a big part of that. He was patient, knowledgeable, and seemed to be very passionate about the food. He offered things and made suggestions without being pushy. We particularly enjoyed the calamari and the banana pudding. We sat outside with a nice view of the water. Even though you order at the register (there is no table service) Andy came out and took our empties, brought us new drinks, and brought us dessert. Give this man a raise! Thanks for having us, we are looking forward to returning!

Wife has been coming here for years, this is my second time. Food is always good! Great selection to choose from and always fresh. My wife thinks it's some of the best tuna around! Crab cake sandwich today for me, nice and meaty. Quick turnaround, but can get busy. Few tables inside and out to eat in or get to go. Lots for fresh seafood and meats you can take home too. Can't go wrong with the Sugar Shack fish market.
