Ariel was our server for a large group of 20 or more people. She was very patient and pleasant. She smiled and explained the menu for most of us. I enjoyed sense of humor with a group so large. We were so glad that we had her as our server. I would give her 10 stars if I could.

We made a pit stop during our drive back to Chicago to enjoy a meal. All the dishes we ordered were very good. The walleye had a pleasant crispy texture, while the ceviche burst with flavor. The mac & cheese, however, was a bit overly cheesy for my taste. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous. The service we received was outstanding; our waitress was incredibly attentive and friendly. Additionally, the restaurant is welcoming to dogs.
Really enjoyed this place! It's right on the beach and we came when they had live music as well. The staff was super friendly and the food came out hot and fresh.
I had the meat and three (choose one meat and three sides). I got the chicken tenders with sweet Thai chili sauce, deck fries, Mexican street corn, and creamy coleslaw. It comes with the slider bun and nachos. My partner had the walleye tacos which came with nachos and we were both very satisfied with our meals. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area to stop here.
Fun place to eat, right on the beach!
There is NO indoor seating, but there is a section that is in the shade.
This place can get really busy on the weekends, so make sure you have sunscreen, especially if you are fair skinned.
I was here for a work event and we could order whatever we wanted, so we did!
I tried A LOT of stuff.
I got the ribs and fish combo. Fish was good as were the ribs.
Mac and cheese was... different. Not bad, just not the usual. Much creamer and with the seashell pasta or whatever they are called.
Baked beans were good.
Brussel sprouts were good.
I know, I'm saying "good" a lot.
I didn't think anything was great other than the cornbread. And the dirty South nachos.
They also have music here sometimes.
Really fun place with good food.
Thursday, September 21st, my colleagues across the state and I went to dinner at The Deck after our day's conference. The service was AMAZING! There were a LOT of us, and Ariel was fantastic.
Ariel was phenomenal! Attentive, timely, organized, friendly, fun, and priceless. She ensured we had all we ordered and even numbered us to take repeat orders so our bills would each be correct. The numbering made it extra fun.
After, a few of us enjoyed swinging and dancing to the music. Thank you for hiring such excellent staff and making beach time even more fabulous than usual.
Really fun place to go in the summer. Good live music, fun tropical drinks, cool vibe and great food. We got the Brisket Tacos and the 50/50 sandwich. Overall just an awesome place to visit! You may even see Darth Vader... I've seen him at The Deck twice!
The waiter Alvaro was awesome, the smoked turkey and pulled pork sliders were amazing. We also very much enjoyed the walleye Tacos. The view with the cool breeze from lake Michigan on a hot July day made the perfect day for lunch on the beach.
The Most AMAAAAZING BBQ Ever! Food is THE BEST!! And Delicious and STRONG Homemade Drinks!! Everything is homemade! The view is unparalleled, our favorite Lake Michigan Beach (Pere Marquette Park). Atmosphere is so fun with live music, swings, Adirondack chairs, and did I mention SWINGS??!! Our server Alex was THE BEST! He remembered EVERYTHING, made perfect suggestions, and made sure we had everything we needed, exactly the way we like it. We travel here every year from the Ann Arbor area just to eat at The Deck. It is a Michigan Gem not to be missed!!!
Fun family friendly Beach venue. Nice selection of food and drinks. Great service. Marcus is the best! Get out there while the weather is still nice! Perfect way to unwind.
The portions were huge and delicious. Plenty of seating and activities to keep any age entertained. Band was cheap date, they were great. Fun drinks in color change cups or bucket, ultimate pineapple long island was delicious.
