Si Senor

My wife and I drive to Iowa City from Wisconsin every couple of weeks and usually we eat with family when we arrive and drive straight home when we leave. On one particular return home we were feeling blue (family matters) and stopped at Si Senor for "comfort".. it was off hours and quiet, but the vibe was friendly and the food delicious. I've had a lot of great (and lot of mediocre) Mexican food in my life.. as we all know with Mexican-American the key is great salsa, chips, margaritas, the rest is beans, meat and cheese. Si Senor was strong on all notes, and had a great looking menu. Only caveat for us was having margaritas (only one each) and then having to drive (we waited a while). I would definitely come again though, four or five items I'd like to try.

A simple and small family restaurant, wonderful, quick, polite, and friendly service. They have plenty of specials, which are great deals. Some items might seem pricey, however it's well worth it and you get good portions for the price. All of our food was cooked fresh, served steaming hot, and you can definitely tell its authentic! Well worth it, and the best Mexican restaurant in the area!
