We had delicious seafood stew and swordfish dinners. Fresh oysters appetizer and cheesecake for dessert. At tentative skilled waitress. Quiet tasteful atmosphere. Friendly patrons. Couldn’t have been more enjoyable

Up there as one of the best places to eat in Charleston! Service is great. Food is so fresh with new specials daily. It’s just a great place to eat and enjoy!

We were recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint! I didn’t see a good vegetarian option on the dish, but the chef custom made one of the best pasta dishes (super savory mushroom ravioli with fall vegetables) I’ve ever had! Great hospitality! Such a great ambiance with delicious wines! A cozy small business restaurant with high quality food!

Last minute Friday evening dinner plans - so no reservations. Inside dining is extremely limited - So make reservations when possible. I’ve always been impressed by the menu and wine pairings - and we thoroughly enjoyed the halibut and lamb ragout- along with the recommended wine pairings. Just wish we could have gotten inside seating as the breezeway was breezy!

Our favorite spot! We love everything about it! Especially the patio that is beyond charming and pup friendly.

My husband and I visited The Shellmore last Friday. We enjoyed the best oysters ever, after sampling many while in Gulf Shores, which couldn't compare to those offered by Chef Eric. Next I enjoyed the seafood stew and my husband the beef and lamb ragu. Both were incredible. Everything is fresh and the wines that were suggested by Tara and Eric were perfect and the cheese and fruit tray was a wonderful finish. My only regret is that we don't live closer (we were visiting from Tucson) because we would probably stop in every week.

Travelling from Malaysia and was jaded by the typical southern options, I sought to find a hidden gem that would tantalise the rest of my senses so my partner and I settled on this one. We were hesitant at first over the price and portions but the full experience made it worth while. Some may find it risky or frustrating but the changing menus were a strong appeal to me. There is something admirable about a restaurant that is willing to experiment and hone their craft to curate the best dining experience. If you have an eye for detail and feast with all your senses you would appreciate the ambiance of this intimate space, the mastery that went into honouring the ingredients of the meal, and the people it attracts. There was an interesting course served between our appetizer and entrée, it was extremely delectable and made our dinner complete. What more can you ask for from a meal than to be able to connect with perfect company. Remember to bring your loved ones.

Great wine and the menu was amazing. We had the gnocchi, crab salad and the trout dip. All were fabulous. The wine, a great Rioja was delicious.
