So sad to hear this place is closing. I moved down here 4 years ago from CT and honestly, there are not many QUALITY restaurants in MP. So often disappointed for over paying for food slapped on a plate with an obvious lack of love and attention to detail. Not at THE MUSTARD SEED! Thank you for rising above the average restaurants in this town. Will especially miss your brunch. My wife loved the fried green tomato eggs benny and I will miss the hash and eggs with potatos. Cheers to your retirement.

The Mustard Seed is known for great food. I think this visit was maybe an off night? My pasta was bland, really bland. The meatloaf was lacking flavor as well and it's a favorite. My daughter didn't finish her burger. The atmosphere is friendly and our service was fantastic. Like I said, I think it was an off night as we have been dining there for years and this time it was just ok.

Overall good experience. Food was decent except the fries were shoestring which are easy to overcook. Brussels sprouts were lights out delicious! Good portions, pork and sauce were good. With the decor I was a little worried I'd get canned green beans but they were fresh tasting and cooked perfectly. Only American cheese or havarti (where'd that come from?) for the burger? C'mon, gotta have some cheddar or something at these prices. But staff were friendly and helpful but not pushy, and that made the experience. Thanks for being open on a Monday!

Service was wonderful, both of the owners checked in on us and were super welcoming. We both ordered the pad Thai (definitely could have split, it was HUGE) and it was so yummy. Definitely would go back!

As other reviewers have stated this restaurant has phenomenal food. As soon as you walk in the door you are welcomed by a wealth of nice people, and that continues throughout your entire visit. Our waitress, Cory, was above and beyond one of the best waitresses we have ever had anywhere. They start out with homemade focaccia bread which was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and we had 2 loaves of it because of such. It was hard to get a recommendation for what exactly to get as pretty much everything was described as delicious and I honestly believe that. We got brussel sprouts and calamari for appetizers. The brussel sprouts were among some of the best I've had and the Yeah Yeah sauce was indeed making me say, Yeah Yeah! I didn't have much of the calamari but it was quite tasty and lightly fried which is a nice change of pace. Our party had three different entrees, two of us had the pad Thai, one of us had the special of the day which was yellowfin tuna, and I had the meatloaf. From how my party members describe their pad Thai it was some of the best they have ever had from any restaurant! The serving size was very plentiful and was piled high with all kinds of fresh and tasty ingredients. The seared yellowfin tuna was also extremely delicious and exactly as you would expect seared tuna to be. We ask for more of the sauce/glaze that they used on the tuna, and after a bit, our waitress brought out a cup of it and explained that it took a while as they didn't have any sauce left, and had to basically whip it up from scratch, which they were happy to do and we were happy they did all wherever they came up with was absolutely delicious. Whoever's in the kitchen knows what they're doing for sure. And I had the smoked bourbon glazed meatloaf. To say this is a meatloaf is kind of understating what it actually is and how it tastes. The texture is not that of grainy ground beef but almost more of a shredded/pulled beef that was then used to make a loaf. To me it tasted exactly like a very high quality barbecue which was completely great with me because it was delicious and everyone in the party agreed. Mashed potatoes were fluffy and tasty, and the collard greens were also how I prefer (from the south so like some vinegary taste to mine) We also had dessert, which they get from a local restaurant nearby so my review of the dessert isn't necessarily a reflection of this business, but their choice of who to get from seems to be great because the both of the desserts were top tier. Overall I have to say this was an incredible dining experience and with our waitress being is amazing as she was, being able to chit-chat and joke around with us instead of a dry demeanor you get from wait staff occasionally, she really pushed the dinner over the top! And this may just be me but making sure the table has water and leaving a pitcher ALWAYS gets appraisal from a hydro-homie like myself. The cost of everything was fairly reasonable considering anything nearby is going to be about the same, plus the portions were great, and all of the staff was very friendly and it seems so are the clientele. If you're ever passing through this area or staying here, you definitely need to go to The Mustard Seed.

Great local spot to get good food. Being a celiac I am limited and I loved the shrimp risotto. We have eaten here twice and liked everything that we have had. I have to say the mashed potatoes are some of the best I have had. Our servers were nice and very good at their jobs.

Had the pad Thai and the burger - the garlic fries are great! Service was on point and the food was equally delicious. The raspberry mint mules were also really tasty. Went there for a lunch date and will definitely be going back!

This was our first time here and we had a very enjoyable lunch. The food was excellent and the service was as well. I had the cornmeal fried flounder and my wife had the American Burger. Both were excellent. And we had the corn chowder soup which was also very good. Will definitely recommend.
