Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

My waiter Peyton was great! But as you can see I was served raw chicken.. I had the double order and I kept looking at the other piece of chicken also I kept shining my phone light on it because the lights were so dim. I hope my 1 year old and I don’t get sick after eating this.. the cooks seem to be the issue.. I had asked earlier for extra gravy when I finally received it.. it was actually Alfred sauce.. my whole section either had their orders messed up or had to wait very long to get their orders. Never did a manger come over to acknowledge us.

Ordered pick-up yesterday (January 2021), paid almost $30, got home, and both meals tasted exactly like they do when you buy the frozen, pre-cooked “food” and warm it up in the oven. Or sometimes in the actual microwave, like you do when you’re too lazy or impatient to bake it properly. Then there wasn’t even a taste to any of the food, except that “previously frozen” taste. I had some different food from home immediately after & it had a taste (so it’s not a “loss of taste due to COVID” on my part) The fries were cold, the chicken was either undercooked or just not bothered to be put in the microwave long enough, and the sauces were gross & cheap tasting. Whenever I’ve dined in at any Cheddar’s (which has been forever, at least 18 months), I’ve been pretty happy. The food was hot & either tasted great or at least had some sort of taste. This time was a huge disappointment & the company itself more than likely lost any future business from us. Keep up the quality, especially when I’m paying full price to still have to drive the food home and re-heat it because it’s cooled down on the drive back.

The food was good and hot as it typically is good size portion especially for that price. Not really sure what was going on in the kitchen this particular night but it did take almost 45 minutes to get a order of chicken alfredo and count of Monte Cristo with a side of fries That seemed a little extensive on the wait But other than that it was fine The servers are wearing mask and they are using social distancing

I’m very disappointed on how they let customers walk around with no mask. When customers are going to bathrooms they were passing our table only less than 1 feet away with no mask. They tried to seat us in a cramped area with everyone right beside each other. I won’t go back ever again.We had a polite waiter that’s why I gave 2 stars..

It was a Friday night and we were a party of four. Our server was polite and funny but very over-worked in our section. We ordered drinks which came in a reasonable amount of time. We got a plate of those yummy croissants, too. But after that... crickets. We watched our server running around like a headless chicken for half an hour. She never checked on us and we actually had to flag her down from across the room so we could order food. She says "you haven't ordered yet?" Ummm, no we haven't and people who had been seated aftrr us had been served. So, we placed our order. Mine was steak (8 oz med-rare) and ribs with broccoli cssserole and a loaded potato. 30 minutes later our food comes out. I don't remember the other people's orders in my group but one had the fried chicken and potatoes and specifically said NO GRAVY ... she had gravy on her chicken and potatoes and we had to send the dish back and she waited another 20 minutes for a corrected order. I think the other 2 in my group were satisfied or otherwise had no complaint. My ribs were cold, fatty, greasy and way overcooked. My steak was almost raw, i could only eat the outside edges (the seasoning was great, though) Fortunately for me, i took it home and sliced it, sauteed it with some peppers and onions and it was great over mashed potatoes! I thought the broccoli casserole was a little too cheesy (if there is such a thing!) but it was kind of paste-like. And a loaded baked potato is only cheese, butter and sour cream? Since when did bacon drop off the "loaded" list? This was my first experience at a Cheddars and I wasn't impressed. Not sure I'd go back. And again, I will say our server was fun, but had too many tables to be able to handle them efficiently but I still tipped 20%. ;)
