Review Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - Mount Juliet

My waiter Peyton was great! But as you can see I was served raw chicken.. I had the double order and I kept looking at the other piece of chicken also I kept shining my phone light on it because the lights were so dim. I hope my 1 year old and I don’t get sick after eating this.. the cooks seem to be the issue.. I had asked earlier for extra gravy when I finally received it.. it was actually Alfred sauce.. my whole section either had their orders messed up or had to wait very long to get their orders. Never did a manger come over to acknowledge us.

Ordered pick-up yesterday (January 2021), paid almost $30, got home, and both meals tasted exactly like they do when you buy the frozen, pre-cooked “food” and warm it up in the oven. Or sometimes in the actual microwave, like you do when you’re too lazy or impatient to bake it properly. Then there wasn’t even a taste to any of the food, except that “previously frozen” taste. I had some different food from home immediately after & it had a taste (so it’s not a “loss of taste due to COVID” on my part) The fries were cold, the chicken was either undercooked or just not bothered to be put in the microwave long enough, and the sauces were gross & cheap tasting. Whenever I’ve dined in at any Cheddar’s (which has been forever, at least 18 months), I’ve been pretty happy. The food was hot & either tasted great or at least had some sort of taste. This time was a huge disappointment & the company itself more than likely lost any future business from us. Keep up the quality, especially when I’m paying full price to still have to drive the food home and re-heat it because it’s cooled down on the drive back.

Grilled Chicken Alfredo Chicken was absolutely perfect. Alfredo sauce was water. No thickness what’s so ever. Noodles went cooked all the way. Other than that food was great. Staff was wonderful

The food was good and hot as it typically is good size portion especially for that price. Not really sure what was going on in the kitchen this particular night but it did take almost 45 minutes to get a order of chicken alfredo and count of Monte Cristo with a side of fries That seemed a little extensive on the wait But other than that it was fine The servers are wearing mask and they are using social distancing

Food was very tasty, prepared expertly, and service was excellent! Mary was quick and professional, anticipating our needs.

I’m very disappointed on how they let customers walk around with no mask. When customers are going to bathrooms they were passing our table only less than 1 feet away with no mask. They tried to seat us in a cramped area with everyone right beside each other. I won’t go back ever again.We had a polite waiter that’s why I gave 2 stars..

It was a Friday night and we were a party of four. Our server was polite and funny but very over-worked in our section. We ordered drinks which came in a reasonable amount of time. We got a plate of those yummy croissants, too. But after that... crickets. We watched our server running around like a headless chicken for half an hour. She never checked on us and we actually had to flag her down from across the room so we could order food. She says "you haven't ordered yet?" Ummm, no we haven't and people who had been seated aftrr us had been served. So, we placed our order. Mine was steak (8 oz med-rare) and ribs with broccoli cssserole and a loaded potato. 30 minutes later our food comes out. I don't remember the other people's orders in my group but one had the fried chicken and potatoes and specifically said NO GRAVY ... she had gravy on her chicken and potatoes and we had to send the dish back and she waited another 20 minutes for a corrected order. I think the other 2 in my group were satisfied or otherwise had no complaint. My ribs were cold, fatty, greasy and way overcooked. My steak was almost raw, i could only eat the outside edges (the seasoning was great, though) Fortunately for me, i took it home and sliced it, sauteed it with some peppers and onions and it was great over mashed potatoes! I thought the broccoli casserole was a little too cheesy (if there is such a thing!) but it was kind of paste-like. And a loaded baked potato is only cheese, butter and sour cream? Since when did bacon drop off the "loaded" list? This was my first experience at a Cheddars and I wasn't impressed. Not sure I'd go back. And again, I will say our server was fun, but had too many tables to be able to handle them efficiently but I still tipped 20%. ;)

We love cheddars brand. Today was an off day for this restaurant. Long wait for food, many items not available, large bone in chicken pot pie. Staff was good and restaurant was clean. Will give them another try.

Went there Sunday and again Labor Day my wife had the bourbon salmon with rice and green beans I had smoked chicken (dark) with green beans and a salad food was great service average good for a nice family dinner

Blech, another chain. A prime example of the fact that Mount Juliet has the most bland palate anywhere on the earth. This place is packed, despite the food being bland, lame, boring - like most dining in MJ. Every time a relative wants to go here, I make an excuse for why I cannot attend.

Good Food. My wife and I have been to Cheddar's several times. We have tried the club sandwich, fish, potato soup, and the monte christo. In all cases we thought the food was very good. The restaurant can be rather loud at times and the service friendly but average in efficiency. We will go back for the food..

MediocrE. Not Bad FOr The Price.

I love their food but their acoustics and service suck. Usually we end up waiting anywhere from 20-45 minutes after we have finished our meal to receive the check. By that time I'm bored and antsy to leave.

The spinach dip was very good and so were the nachos in the trio sampler app. My top Sirloin steak was not dry for a medium-well steak and the service was very friendly and attentive.

Yeah buddy. The cheddars in MJ is awesome. have to go to this one but not the one in hendersonville

Blah. Typical, bland chain restaurant food. Nothing special at all.

Good food! Good service! Huge portions! Bring your appetite and a to go box!

My fish was overcooked but the real reason we don't like the food is everything seems to have sugar in it. Even the green beans were sweet, disgusting. Also the service was awful.

Great Price! For the food quality, Good Service, Even the music playing was good......U2, Eagles etc. This was our first time in a Cheddars. We will be back.

Will Give Them a 2nd Chance.. The inside was nicely decorated and our server was a great guy. We were able to get a table rather quickly since it was after 9pm on a Saturday night. Everything was going smoothly and was impressed with the number of offerings in their menu. BUT, the wife ordered the steak and shrimp which was advertised "cook to order". She ordered it medium. I know this is not a steakhouse, but if you ask how do you want your steak, then it should be accomadated. The steak came out Well Done. We showed the waiter who then had a manager come speak with us. They offered to recook her plate which we declined due to being on a schedule to catch a movie. They did comp her plate for the error. My plate was average at best. We will give them another try. We used to eat at Cheddars all the time in Texas and LOVED it!!

Great Food and Service. I visited the Cheddar's in Mt. Juliet on Saturday 1/15/11 and was extremely impressed with the food, service, and managers. I recommend the chicken tenders platter or the cheeseburger. Great food for a great value.
