I came here for lunch. I would say that the food was good value, but not great. It wasn't very busy but the one server did a good job of keeping up with help of a rather cute robot. However, I suspect the robot slowed her down rather than helping!
Overall I can see that this would be a good stop for a quick and satisfying meal and there seemed to be several regulars there.
Worth going there, especially if you have kids to see the robot!
It was rather empty when I went. I was one of two patrons. I ordered the basic combination chow mein and enjoyed every bite. I might have missed it but I didn't see their beverages listed on the menu though I saw the soft drinks pumps in the dining area where I sat. For convenience, there was a sticker on the table if you wanted to scan the code, order, and pay that way. Another option was to scan the receipt and pay. But the waiter also seemed willing to take your payment as well.
The service here was excellent. There was really nothing particularly wrong with the food, I just found it a bit bland for my tastes, and the lamb was a little fattier than I would have preferred. The hot sour soup was great and the hot tea was delicious. As an added bonus, our food was delivered to us by a very chipper robot. That made the visit totally worth the visit, and I would recommend anybody go there at least once to enjoy that particular feature of the restaurant.
This is a really neat place on main Street. There is a little serving robot which I've never seen before that I enjoyed watching and listening to. The menu is pretty straightforward and the food is as expected. Plenty of insight seating and a large frozen refrigerator of mochi for dessert.
We loved eating here! The staff was incredible and super super helpful in choosing what to order. The combo chow mein was excellent. The pork fried rice was delicious and the honey walnut shrimp was so good. Don't forget to order the perfectly done bbq PORK buns!
We had great service from the humans and the robot. They accommodated us even though we came in just before closing. We will be going back!
We ordered Kongbao chicken, BBQ (Chasiu) Pork and spicy boiled fish! It was a great lunch beyond our expectation! Never thought we could possibly have Chinese lunch at all in a small town like Morro Bay, but we did at this place and what surprised us is the authenticity of the food here!
Super awesome tasting food. The place is clean and relaxing. They have the cutest robot server. The cashier waitress is also very nice
Not incredible Chinese food but it's a great option to have. The fried rice is amazing, but that's pretty much all I get when I come here.
They also have a cat robot, it really adds to the atmosphere of the place.
I'd like to give a 4.5 review for my first visit to Bamboo in SLO. Great location. Love the atmosphere and servers.
The food was well spiced, authentic and portions are good size. The green beans were slightly over cooked but maybe that's because I ordered take out. I will definitely be going again and I'm grateful their is a Chinese food restaurant back in SLO.
The food is always incredible. Excellent/huge portions that leave me full after every meal with some leftover! (Which makes the price well worth it for me)
Some other reviews seem to not agree with the price of Bamboo Bamboo but the portion size and quality are well worth the amount, and make this a stand-out restaurant. ESPECIALLY when you compare it to Panda Express for just a few dollars more.
Lastly,
The BEST staff, always kind, hard working and fast. Strike up a conversation and really get to know them.
I highly recommended Bamboo Bamboo to everyone I know and make constant lunch runs for co-workers when commuting to Atascadero.
By far my favorite has been General Tao’s Chicken and Beef Chow Mein.
