WOW!!! THAT WAS GOOOOD!! The 1st time here and I have to tell you the meal was great!! I myself had the sausage skillet with green peppers and onion. Also had a side of biscuits and gravy and Sausage links.. The vegetables were nice crisp and fresh in my skillet.. I'm a big biscuits and gravy guy. These were amazing! The American Fries with the biscuits and gravy were just as good.. My wife had the steak skillet which she gives a 10. The place was clean the people were friendly service service was prompt..Our total bill came up to $32.70. If you like Sterling Illinois mom's diner or Maple house you will love this place. Great food great service..

Fast service, clean restaurant when I was there, great food. Got the full order of biscuits and gravy and oj. Pops got the French toast scrambled eggs and bacon. Both meals were great, good portions great taste. Only downside was the scrambled eggs looked like a omelette with out any other ingredients. They forgot to scramble while cooking. But it all was great. Used to be called The Red Apple. That was main reason I went there. Memories.

Food was quite good. It was served fast and hot. Burgers and breaded chicken sandwich are absolutely huge! Garbage in bathroom was overflowing onto the floor. Our young waitress was attentive, but condescending a few times. For instance, when I asked where the bathroom was, she said "that way...ya know...where it says RESTROOM..."

Great local restaurant with local charm and good tasting food. Worth the stop for classic American food with small town friendliness and service. Great prices, good size portions and hot coffee. Classic Americana food and right in town. If you are traveling the Lincoln Highway (Highway 30) then this place is worth the stop! Has all the charm of a classic family restaurant with plenty of choices from burgers and sandwiches to full meals.
