Noodle Theory

This place is so good, great service, cute neighborhood ambiance. The salmon noodle soup (cannot remember name exactly) had a very tasty and memorable broth (I have been to a lot of ramen and pho places) and lots of veggies! Chicken over ginger noodles were delicious - tasty and filling. IMO, good drink selection too. They brought out tongs, (extra plates and soup bowls too) for each dish when we advised we were sharing / eating family style.

Lamorinda is a food desert, so imagine my surprise when Noodle Theory from Berkeley opened a branch here. I've been here a couple of times with different friends and am pleasantly surprised with the quality of the ramen broths as well as the dry noodles(lomein). My favorite is the pork loin ramen while my friends prefer kimchi lomein and chicken ginger lomein. They use udon for their dry noodles, yum. There's also a small selection of draft beers as well as bottles. No lines compared to Berkeley which is a great plus!

It was a decent place to have a meal. Cons: They downsized the menu and unfortunately they left a lot of spicy items. It’s a bit overwhelming. Do not recommend the appetizers. They taste and look like they came out of a bag instead of homemade. They took too long to serve the food. It seemed like to me that online order had the priority. Pros: They beef curry soup was very tasty. Peach tea is great! It’s a clean and organized place.
