Yami

In the past, I've left very positive reviews for this Chinese restaurant. Their food has been consistently good regardless of what we ordered. And I've never had an issue with their service. However today I had a very poor experience with this restaurant. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, picked it up when advised, and brought it home to eat. When we unpacked the food from the bag, we noticed the sweet and sour sauce was missing. So I contacted the restaurant and explained that they left the sauce out and we needed it replaced. But by the time I would get there to pick up the sauce, the dish I already brought home would be cold. I asked them if they would please replace the dish, I would return the food that I had ordered that is now cold and in turn I would take a fresh hot dish with me along with the missing sauce. I felt this was only fair considering it was their error and I had to drive all the way back to pick up the sauce. Maybe this is nitpicking but most other restaurants, when realizing their error would gladly replace the food and do right by their customer. Yami, however, flatly denied my request for a fresh dish blaming me for the loss of the sauce and in fact, raised their voices at me while on the phone while I remained calm and respectful. After a few minutes of fruitless back and forth with the restaurant worker, I realized they were not going to budge and I said that as one of their best customers I felt my only option would be to leave a poor review which is what I am doing right now. So while I will tell you that this restaurant has excellent food and normally does a very good job with how they service their customers, be prepared that if they make a mistake they won't admit it, they won't treat you with respect, they will not remediate the situation but they will leave you frustrated and angry. Now I have to decide if they are worth using again in the future. They lose one star from me.

No beef in beef and broccoli. No chicken in scallion chicken. Plenty of rice filled 3/4 of the take out tray. Called to hopefully fix the take out order that I picked up to be told to bring it back and prove it. Then got hung up on. For 25.00??? Really never again. To much for two terrible dinners
