Where the Locals Go
Susie’s is a couple of miles south of town. It seems to cater to the locals who support this restaurant all year. Prices are reasonable, food is solid and the staff very friendly.
My wife had a very tasty Reuben sandwich with good fries. I had the New York Strip which was very nice and came with a salad, some fresh green beans, a baked potato and a large piece of Indian fry bread. All was good. The large jar of honey on the table went well with the Indian fry bread for dessert! Plus, all meals come with free coffee if you like.
Nice people, good food, reasonable prices, complete meals (even coffee!) Who could ask for more?
I could tell it was a local favorite when I entered. It is a country themed restaurant. The service was prompt and our waitress was friendly. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was delicious. My wife had the French dip sandwich and it too was great.
The most popular menu item seemed to be the prime rib. Lots of people ordered it and it looked great. The restaurant has unlimited fries. The fries were somewhat greasy but they tasted great.
Omg got the 16oz ribeye must h
ave been an inch thick juicy and delicious. Came with salad baked potato corb anb a huge piece of FRYBREAD. With honey! Im a big eater and had to take more than half the steak home in a box. Real ,good ,ce tea which is rare outside the South. Be sure you are hungry if you come here. We will be back Tues or Thurs. For Bbq.
I liked it. The side salad surprised me. 2 bucks and it's not some nasty iceberg pile. This had a beet and olives and had the nicer greens. Also, loved the pumpkin crunch dessert. That rocked! Clean, family friendly and it looked like a place the locals frequented. Which means it's a keeper!
No booths, only tables but a fun atmosphere and great food! It hit the spot after a whole day of hiking and only eating Clif Bars!
Was a good eat. The fried bread was great, the prime rib was fresh, and it was a very nice small place to eat dinner
Moab Gathering Place - Receptions, Weddings, Banquet. The Branding Iron has ample parking and maybe a half mile from the Moab Golf Course, Old Spanish Trail Arena Equestrian Center and RV/Tent Campgrounds. Hotels downtown are 2-3 miles away. Groups can have a banquet after a golf tournament or Horse/Livestock function at the Branding Iron. The fenced in Patio adds another nice dimension to the Branding Iron. Use this restaurant for a reception or the actual wedding. There is an intimate stage inside to feature the bride and groom, Master of Ceremony for awards or a podium for lecturer, educator, business meeting.
Really good food. The waitress was very polite and attentive. Fair prices and huge portions. A great value. Pretty nice view too.
Not fantastic but very good. This is not a real "cowboy bar", just dressed up to look like one. I had a very good pastrami burger with bacon. Located outside town, so it gets you away from the busy downtown restaurants.
This is a great family style restaurant on the edge of town. The chicken fried chicken is a hand breaded breast cutlet, perfectly seasoned and pan fried! The mashed potatoes are really makes potatoes, not dehydrated flakes! Serving staff was very attentive and Prices are very reasonable! And you know this is good, because of the regulars in there!
We were recommended to eat here by a local resident and it did not disappoint. The staff were extremely friendly and were attentive to the table. I ordered a country fried steak. The meat was a little dry but still delicious. The portions were reasonable. It was someone’s birthday in our group and he ordered the prime rib. What the restaurant is known for. He found it very satisfying and they also threw in a free desert with candle in the end.
We had fried dill pickles as an appetizer and they were very tasty. Then came our main entree my wife and I had their chicken fried steak with white gravy and it was one of the best tasting plates I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend this place!!!
Loved the place. Loved our waitress and food. People usually wait to go to downtown restaurants and that's how we ended up here. But the steak and sides were good except the corn. The fry bread was amazing with honey as the waitress recommended.
So yummy!
The Onion rings, Navajo Taco, and chocolate cheesecake were amazing!!! Waitress was very polite!
