Our Humble Abode

The food is amazing. This is our 2nd time visiting this place and it never fails. We have only tried breakfast but if breakfast is amazing g I can imagine lunch. Great kids menu as well. Breakfast ends at 11am so make sure to get there before. Service and food are just amazing!!💯💯 Highly recommended it.

A fantastic go-to place for amazing food, awesome staff, and an all-around great experience. Every meal that we have had here (and there have been many!) has been good. Our family has tried many things off the menu and they have all been well-prepared and really good. Last year (2018) we ordered our Thanksgiving dinner from here and it was phenomenal!

So this wasn't where we were going for our father/son night dinner. A Chili's burger & beer was on our mind, but after waiting 5 mins for a host to greet us, we decided to eat elsewhere. Low & behold in the same shopping center was a restaurant advertising comfort food & boy o' boy aren't we glad that we stopped in. A friendly & courteous staff member quickly greeted & seated us. Our cheerful & courteous server then took our drink order while we reviewed the menu. So instead of burgers this was going to be some good 'ol comfort food eating. We started off with the tomato soup that is served with grilled cheese sandwich croutons, this hit the spot & made my top 3 tomato soup list. I had the chicken pot pie & my son had the fish 'n chips and we shared a Caesar side salad. Chicken pot pie filling reminded me of my wife's, so definitely a hit, only wished the pastry was baked a little more. My son's fish was a healthy portion and cooked perfectly, fish was flakey and the batter just right, loved the spiral fries. The Caesar salad put us over the top. Unfortunately we couldn't fit any dessert in, but will definitely be back again to try!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The food is amazing (definitely try the biscuits with bacon gravy), the staff is friendly, the inside is clean and cozy, but also trendy, the manager was super nice and the owner even took the time to come by and share her story. The place is a little hidden, but once you try them you will be looking for more reasons to come back!

What a beautiful and peaceful place to feed our soul. From the moment we walked in I knew we had found a place we would be returning again to. I imagine the happy genuine smile and welcome from the host is what set the mood. “Comfort Food” is truly there niche but making us feel welcome seems to be everyone’s specialty. Our waitress was Valeska (might have spelled it wrong) but what a sweetheart and beautiful too. She gave us enough time to read over the menu and of course we knew what we wanted, we wanted “chicken and waffles” but it was the other items we saw going by, we also had to have . The ”Mojo Fries” were delicious. We also order the Eggs Sarnie and they were all great choices. Portions were nice size. Enjoyed the conversation with the gentleman who brought our food to us too. The decorations make you feel relaxed and invited, I couldn’t stop looking around and had to because was reminded I needed to keep eating. The restroom, which I totally loved, featured pictures of celebrities and their pets... softy for pets and pet owners. Five stars and twenty plus friends to tell them how awesome it was. Looking forward to going back and ordering more grits, which were delicious as well, next time I’ll be getting shrimp and grits... until then, thank you for making us feel welcome at your “Humble Abode”...oh one more thing when we asked for water they brought us a jug of it and when we asked for more syrup they shared a cute little mason jar of it... it was perfect! Truly a hidden GEM in a small shopping strip... prices were reasonable and most of all the food was great!
