Schatz Crossroads

I've been here all weekend... So, I feel like I'm being more than fair when I say that this place is overrated.... It's actually nothing more than an average truck stop with the average truck stop employees.... Maybe one or 2 people actually care and the rest are just here. I tried to give their restaurant some business on Saturday.... all I got was attitude... I paid for a shower this morning... they gave me keys to #2, I walked up stairs and it was still dirty with the previous person's dirty towels... I went back down stairs and they finally had keys for #6 which was clean. Overall, their billboards that advertise "Best Truckstop in North Dakota" are nowhere near accurate. I give it 2 out of 5 and add that if you're stopping here, it's mostly a waste of time aside from being a good place to park.

Purposely misleading signage. Nowhere, but at Schatz, is mid grade considered "Super Unleaded". When you get to the pump, What is called super unleaded everywhere else, is $4.34 a gallon as opposed to the misleading signage that says $3.94. I'm a local, and Schatz you fooled me once, I will never come back to this gas station again.

All I wanted was French fries, shredded cheese, and gravy for pickup, NOT your "poutine" I specifically stated. 30 min later what comes out? Poutine! She takes it back, shredded cheese gets thrown on top, calls its good. Pretty sad to mess up a simple order. McDonald's next time I guess. The cashier was not new, same cashiers as when I worked there at fuel station. I guess switching cheese is such a HARD and TIMELY thing to do and such HASSEL. She should've said so before i ordered. Guess I should be apologizing. NOT!

Excellent place to eat at! Food is good and the service is good! It's about the only place in Minot to get a good bite without having to worry about of a fast food lobby is going to be open or closed. You don't have waite 30 minutes in a drive thru either so I recommend this place to anyone who comes visit Minot or lives in the area
