The Saucy Chicken

Apparently, I've been passing this place for months and never noticed it. They put some signs out at the bottom of the Northstar escalators and the first thing I noticed was their awesome daily specials. Many of their specials are $5.49 for an entire meal combo (sandwich, chips, and drink). Pretty unbeatable downtown except for maybe a Subway 6-inch. I ordered the Italiano grilled chicken breast sandwich. It was solid, nothing special but nothing wrong with it. The staff was very friendly. It was well after the lunch rush, so they weren't busy and we chatted a bit. However, I think the best part about this place is the variety. They don't have a large menu, but it is rather varied. For example, my sandwich was chicken, pepperoni, and cheese with marinara on the side. They also have open faced turkey with mashed potatoes, chicken strips, and pulled pork. I don't know of another lunch place in the skyways that has that variety.
