The food was very good and the place has nice decorations.
I personally enjoy this restaurant. Good take out and buffet. Good and friendly service. Great location. I come about once every two weeks.
Food was pretty good. Would go again. Little bit pricier then the Chinese I normally get elsewhere like Philadelphia. (Almost double). The curry chicken was pretty good, nicely spicy, but low on actual curry. The wonton soup was unusual. Most wontons are stuffed with a ground meat mixture.. their wontons, just had a bunch of sliced meat... But good. Egg rolls were good, a tiny bit bland, but good. The only reason for four stars for the food was the mushrooms in the curry were slightly aged... For premium prices.. I expect fresh ingredients.
This is the first time I was ever been here. And then I was very happy I did and they're having the fanatic service and the food too also they're having huge meeting rooms for the maybe like the wedding or maybe the Ceremony .I was perrty sure they're should be having a big enough for at least 100-200 peoples.
My husband and I have been coming here for 30+ years. It's always a special treat. Best spring rolls ever! My favorite dish is the letter L (pork over chilled rice noodles salad) and my husband's favorite is pork and green beans. Wonderful and welcoming staff.
This is my favorite chinese place, i eat Chinese buffets all across the USA, and I've eaten in Chinatown Chicago to give you perspective. This place uses the real meats ( definitely NOT the mass produced floppy tasteless meats so many other Chinese buffets use to save costs ) I drive, on occasion, 4 hours to eat here for lunch. My favorite dishes are the lemongrass chicken, kung pao chicken, Orange beef (those orange skins prove how fresh their ingredients are and how skilled their chefs are) and black bean chicken. The wonderful little asian lady knows my family and me, and greets us warmly every time. The buffet is on the smaller side, but each dish is first rate!!
I enjoyed eating lunch here with two others. The restaurant is spacious and well lit, with moderate views. The value for money is excellent and we got quite a lot of food for the money. The kung pao could have been more spicy, but was delicious and filling and we were given more chili sauce as soon as we asked. The kung pao goes well with both plain rice and the vegetable lo mein. The vegetable fried rice and lo mein were great-tasting and filling as well. For U students, the restaurant is close to the stadium village area and there is also a buffet option. 100% recommend and looking forward to returning!
I went with my family a few months ago and everything was good! But My family has gone here for years for weddings or food and everything usually goes well. The fish was definitely the star of the meal and was cooked perfectly and enough to share between my family of five. I also have had the sugared donuts here and they’re great as well. I definitely recommend checking it out if you have a chance for some genuinely good food and to support a small business.
I do not know anything of their current mask or Covid policies though but when I went, tables were distanced and they wore masks.
U Garden has been a staple for Chinese food for decades. Always enjoy visiting this restaurant, either if it's for a wedding, birthday, etc, their food is always phenomenal 😋
I've eaten at many Chinese restaurants around the Twin Cities and this place is one of my favorites. Pros include portion sizes, cleanliness, friendly service, ample parking, and general value. Lunch buffet is about $14, which is a pretty good value considering the amount of delicious options you get and the persistent inflation. I've paid $17 at other places for less options and not as good quality. I love coming here and will keep coming back.
I ALWAYS get the fried wings, best I EVER had ❤️ & the egg rolls are so good !!
Good food. Quick and nice service. Lots of Chinese options in the area, this is one of the best ones.
