I stopped in on a Sunday after visiting Anthony's tobacco shop. I have never been here but it was open inviting and well I was craving some serious mustard on some serious bratwurst. So the sign got my attention being a wursthaus. So, they must have 30 of the most amazing and exotic bratwursts possible. Like Buffalo, smoked elk, duck, a Juicy Lucy, and the one I picked, a surly ghost Chile one with 4 flames on the menu, and the PROMISE, NO COMMITMENT to be spicy hot. It was, but also it was delicious and flavorful. Not an easy thing to accomplish, often hot food is so hot you can't taste anything but Heat. There spicy bratwurst has achieved that perfect balance between heat and flavor. Staff was very friendly, and they had happy hour all Sunday long. What does that mean? Well, it means you can get a pint of many delicious tap beers for $3, appetizers $3, all Sunday long. It was a pretty good deal, though it wasn't a happy hour deal, one brat of your choosing, with french fries and a dipping sauce of your choice, and a select beer, $12. No that's not a typo, and yes it's hard to believe that you can get lunch and a beer uptown for $12. What's completely amazing is that you can get such a delicious bratwurst, some really well made french fries, and a custom dipping sauce, I went with Wasabi Ginger Mayo, and a non-domestic tap beer, and still be at $12. I will be back, I go uptown on a regular basis I used to live there, and I still have a lot of friends who do. Perfect place to stop while on a shopping Adventure.

This place was amazing! We found it by chance while visiting the cities and absolutely loved it. It has a counter where you order awesome wurst and they have Surly beer on tap, then you can sit at the huge long tables they have and grab your food when it's ready! We took 2 kids here and they liked it too, not too noisy, they have big garage doors for nicer weather, and when it's snowing you can watch from inside while devouring delicious food!

Trivia on Thursdays is always really fun and they have a huge selection of delicious brats, as well as great beers and a few ciders on tap. They have a meal deal for a brat and a Surly which is popular with my trivia team and most other people in line when we order. Their fries are also really good.

A unique place to eat! Come here if you are looking for some food that is not quite run of the mill bar food! Large social tables greet you to share with friends, with friendly bartenders that serve up beer in a place that makes you think of bar halls of old. All the food options are great but I recommend some food with spice and the fries are also excellent. It also features the largest bar pretzel I have ever seen!

I hadn't had the food until recently. When I tried the huge pretzel and a chilli brat with Mac and cheese topping, I wished I would have tried it sooner. This place is a great place to have a few beers with friends on a nice afternoon. They have board games, outside tables, a great beer selection, and fantastic food. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out!

Best place to meet up with friends! Tim and everyone who works here are amazing! Love stopping in to chat with them as well! They are amazing for lunch/dinner as well! :) The brats are great—before New Bohemia’s spicy sauerkraut, I never cared for sauerkraut, but now it’s a MUST do every time I’m there.

This place is great in the summer, when the tables are outside and you can eat a delicious hot dog and people watch in uptown. They have two great vegan/vegetarian options (and they just got vegan buns!), and of course they also have the unique meat options like rabbit and rattlesnake, duck and much more. Homemade mustard, a great beer selection rounds everything out.

Good selections of beer, a nice mix of upscale sausages and mustards. They do pretty much one thing here, and they do it well. It is a nice beer hall style restaurant, really nice during the summer when the doors are open and the sun is coming in. If you don't like sausage then you are going to the wrong place.

Awesome hall style (you sit at long tables, sometimes next to other people) bar. The pretzel is always the high point. Make sure you have a few friends to help you out with it. Fantastically large tap beer selection. Big games are usually on as well.

Very much enjoyed the beer and atmosphere - and the service was great to match. The family sized Bavarian pretzel was disappointing, as it was more of a soft loaf of bread (or 2) in the shape of a pretzel than any semblance of a Bavarian pretzel. If that is what you like...go for it! If this review is helpful, please click on 'Like' to improve my status.
