Easily the best coffee and tea purveyors in the Midwest. They are incredibly knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and incredibly unpretentious. They are happy to answer questions, and every recommendation they have given me over the years has been fantastic.
Truly a treasure of the Twin Cities. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Just went here 10 minutes ago, I love this place so much. Their coffee is so good and the people in there are so nice. I also like that it's not really a sit down place so it's not loud, just warm and peaceful. The people in there are very kind and the coffee is fresh, not pre-packaged (: fancy
So thankful for the random tip from a couple sitting outside the bookstore down the block to get a cup of coffee here. We were visiting from Canada, and this was hands down the best cup of coffee we've had. Hole in the wall shop, friendly service, finest coffee in the twin cities (and we were told the last $1 cup of coffee around)! So good. We hope to visit again!
The best selection of coffee in the city. They are ina league of their own! Always enjoy chatting them up when I am there
They have tons of varieties of coffee beans and loose leaf teas, from Ethiopian to Hawaiian, Pu-er to Earl Gray. For beans, they'll grind them on the spot to a fineness of your choosing, or they can bag them up whole and seal them in plastic to preserve freshness.
All the employees are very nice and extremely knowledgeable about coffee and tea. They aren't snobbish in the slightest, and are happy to answer any and all questions you might have. You're welcome to smell any of the coffee on the shelf, and man does it smell fantastic. Dark and fragrant, this is probably the best coffee I've had
If you're looking to ramp up your coffee game, this is the place to go. There's nowhere else like it.
Kindest staff I've ever seen at a shop. There are SO many coffees to choose from and the beans are roasted fresh consistently! However, they're all roasted dark and/or past the second crack (burnt), so wouldn't say the product is to my personal preference.
Prices are a steal though ($1.03 for a cup of coffee at a shop?!), $3 for a cappuccino vs $4 at Starbucks or $5 at artisanal locations.
All kinds of equipment line the walls, including Chemex brewers and vessels, Toddy cold brew makers, hand grinders, retro grinders, etc. It's honestly impressive when considering that even places like Spyhouse or Dogwood Coffee don't have this amount of stuff.
Always feel free to come by. If you enjoy a wide array of dark-roasted coffees and an unorthodox , "hole-in-the-wall" feel, this place is perfect. The neighborhood is lovely too!
Just got my first 1/2 pound of beans and I’ll surely be returning. Beautifully roasted, fresh beans. Made AMAZING coffee; it’s worth the price.
Coffee and Tea Limited, at 2730 W 43rd St, sells at least two kinds of Fair Trade Chocolate! I've heard that they sell some Fair Trade Coffee too. Welcome to Fair Trade Minneapolis!
My first job was working for Mr. Cone a thousand years ago. I learned so much about coffee, tea, and how he chose top quality beans and leaves. His roasting process is second to none. Even my cheapskate parents switched to his coffees after I started working there until they could no longer get to his store. I make a trek to Linden Hills as often as I can for the best.
It’s a coffee shop for coffee nerds.
It’s not a trendy cafe, it’s not an office away from home, it’s just a hobbit hole of coffee, tea and enthusiasm. They have been importing and roasting locally for decades, way before it was hip. My only option for a truly acceptable cup of coffee.
Jim is great, been there for ages, friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely check this place out.
