Wow! So often you find a "mega sports bar" that you know is gonna be all hype. This is not one of those. The staff is so friendly (not at all the Minneapolis way) and they aim to please.
I asked for beer recommendations and I was tempted to try the Deschutes Fresh Squeezed! I was hooked all night.
Then of course I had the "double stack" burger and I was Set!.
A must visit if you are in Minneapolis!
First time visiting Randle's for a private event. Food and service were fantastic. Really cool rooftop ice bar and lounge in the basement. Potstickers, jerk chicken sandwich and cocktails were delicious.
Great food and service. Had the meatloaf and choc cake. Both were well prepared and tasted great.
I'm going to be as honest as possible.
Full disclosure: I'm a very low-needs customer. As long as I have my order correct and my glass full, I don't need much in the way of attention.
It was about 730-8pm on a Wednesday (7/5/17) when I came here.
I sat at the bar, bartender was very nice and prompt with greeting me. I just got water, as I had a professional job later on in the night. I asked him about a few options, and ended up going with a bacon hamburger.
After my order was in, I wanted to remind him I had ordered no cheese, and he was prompt in making sure it was accurate. After that I didn't need to be attended at all until my food arrived. Took about 15 minutes to receive, it was accurate and well presented on the plate. Cooked to my order (medium rare) as well.
Very tasty burger in my opinion. Bacon was delicious and thick cut. Bun was good, right size for the burger so it didn't get gooey nor was it too much bread. I ordered fries as my side, and while I wish there were a few more, it was a fine serving size for my appetite.
Bill was $16 dollars, which for the taste and size is slightly more than I would have preferred (I thought $10-$12 range would have been better).
Overall it was a fine experience and I would return here happily. 4 stars because the price was a little high for the simplicity of my order but everything else was satisfying.
Amazing menu and even better food! 12 of us showed up today at 11:15am and their service was impeccable. We were eating in no time and everyone was raving about their food. I seriously need the recipe for the corn salsa! I could have simply had a bowl of it for my lunch. I will be suggesting Randle's to anyone that will listen!
Great venue and excellent menu! I appreciate the diversity of their selections and have always had a great experience. I recommend anything on the starter menu, especially the sushi! More traditional bar options include cheese curds, sliders and wings. The burgers (both turkey and the Randle's Double Cheeseburger) are awesome! Great for happy hour or game day experience. They have largest TV selection I've seen and their big screen in the main room is massive. One of the few rooftop patios downtown and also have street level patio seating on Nicollet Mall. John Randle is regularly in the restaurant and the NFL network was in shooting a special on him this summer. Really cool place and food is great!
Stopped in before a show at Orchestra Hall without reservations on a Saturday night. We were seated almost immediately. The host seemed a little spacey, and wasn't super welcoming, but our server was great. We had the potstickers and shrimp tempura rolls, both were great options. The wasabi was super fresh and had a great kick, something I was surprised to experience since this isn't exactly a sushi place. My blueberry gimlet was very sweet, but I didn't mind - I should have expected that.
Okay, I do not understand why this place has a 3.6 star review? I came here for bottomless mimosas ($12 btw cheapest I've seen in town) and the menu is great along with great service and a great atmosphere! Plus, it's John Randle's restaurant! Have some respect for a legend twin cities! Our server Julian was great, he needs a raise 100%. I had the Randle's double stack which was one of the better burgers I've had in awhile. Definitely coming back to this spot next time I'm in the cities.
Great use of space & a well thought out floor plan. We were there for a private Super Bowl party with Alex Rossi performing. He was exceptional, so was the food & drink. The staff was extremely attentive & friendly. The ice sculptures on the top floor are something you have to check out. We will be back soon!
The rooftop is great! The sushi was decent; howeve, one of our rolls was falling apart. The service was good and sitting in the shade at the bar was definitely a good break on a hot day downtown. The great 90s playlist was enough to for me to give an extra star on the review.
