A quaint and chill spot. I showed up an hour before close and I am eternally grateful to the staff for not rushing me or making me feel rushed, despite them very obviously getting ready for closing. As someone with severe social anxiety, this went a long way. And I was able to take in the ambiance of the space while enjoying my drink: a matcha latte with oat milk. Will definitely visit again if I'm in the area!

Seward Cafe is simply the best! The food is great, and it’s an excellent community space. Everyone is welcome, and you feel good about supporting a worker-led cooperative. I love the vegan biscuits and gravy, but everything is delicious and fairly priced.

This has always been a favorite place because they have vegan biscuits and gravy on the menu. It’s been about 8 years since I visited and I’m happy to report it hasn’t changed much.
The quantity of food for the price is pretty much unmatched for vegan options. I ordered the biscuit breakfast with tofu. I was very happy with the cold press coffee, it was perfect.
Garden seating was so nice on an August morning. All of the space made it felt very private and chill.

Everyone is super nice, the drinks are super good and the place is super beautiful. I love recommending this place to people and telling them to get the iced vanilla latte with oat milk. No one is ever disappointed

Y’all I was so worried that the coffee wasn’t going to be good since everyone’s obsessed with fancy beans these days. However, this was the best iced caramel mocha I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait for them to come back with food bc if this is any indication, they’re really pulling out all the stops.

Seward, I’ve missed you so! Glad you’re back and I’m excited for the full menu when the time comes. I recently came in with a friend who had never been here previously. Staff were so welcoming, a lot of fun, and helped my friend through some questions about the drink menu. The baked goods were excellent and the VCCP was as delicious as ever! What a treat to enjoy it on your back patio.
