I’m always up for Mexican food. And, i found this cute little place which serves Mexican cuisine.
I had a grilled chicken burrito- full of chicken, creams, rice and refried beans.
I also had a veggie burrito- it is stuffed with veggies, rice and refried beans.
I had a side plate of two meats which is seved with breads,avocado,refried beans and rice.
This place has a little counter which have all the sauce as sides. They all are very flavorful and just acts as a cherry on the cake.
All in all, the place is serves decent flavor packed food.
Best Mexican food around chipotle chicken and Mexican steak taco bravos are the best . Can't go wrong with anything on the menu it's all great.
Finally, a legitimate Mexican restaurant to replace the late El Gordo. The food was excellent, the service was fast and they actually serve Mexican sodas too. The ambiance is nothing fancy. It's located in an old pizza place and it's not air conditioned, but the food is worth it.
DELICIOUS AND AUTHENTIC. We are indebted to our friend for discovering this little place for us. My wife and I have spend a lot of time in Mexico since we were in high school on mission trips and vacations, so we are usually pretty dissappointed with the quality of Americanized "Mexican" Restaurants. But let me say, of all the places I've been to in the States, this place serves the best tacos and delicious burritos. I would say it is as good as Mexican tacos, but they're actually better. The quality of meet is better, the seasonings and sauces are identical, but the portions on each taco are also better. Truly fantastic..and you can't beat the price. Pinedas has made us all the more contento to live in the Twin Cities!
Unexpectedly Good Mexican in the Suburbs. Who knew you could find authentic Mexican flavor in the suburbs? Well, I guess a few people from my workplace did, and I'm glad they did, because I never would have found it otherwise. The chimichanga and the chili rellenos are my favorites, but everything I've had there is delicious. Nearly everything comes with a choice of meats/sauces that range from mild to spicy and there are at least 9 different choices. Everything I've had there is great, even one of the most "adventurous" meat choices, beef tongue. Combos are under $10 and include a soft drink and house made tortilla chips. Fantastic food and a great value to boot!
Delicioso. Best 'fast' Mexican food in town. Cannot be beat for lunch, prices are reasonable, and the flavor authentic. Fresh salsas are very tasty.
Excellent authentic food! Stopped for lunch, Tacos Bravo (steak & onion, barbacoa, BBQ pork), and my wife had the roasted pork burrito. All of it was excellent. Salsa bar was great, could use a couple more options. We will be back!
I love that place, used to eat there 2-3 days a week when I worked in the area. Very good food and friendly staff! Be carefull, the west st. Paul one is a lot spicier! You know it's good when real Mexicans eat there.
Absolutely phenomenal! Man at the counter was extremely helpful to first-timers like myself. Food was outstanding. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new favorite restaurant. Homemade Mexican food here is absolutely fantastic.
The Real deal. Want real MEX without driving downtown or breaking the bank. Awesome west metro find. Delicious, homemade and fast. If you long for real mex taste usually hard to find in Mn., then this should be your first stop. Dont let the ambiance fool you. This is a true gem.
Great Mexican food. Tortas are the best I've had but everything on the menu is outstanding. I'm assuming it's a family operation as the staff have been consistent for as long as I've been going here. Lots of seating but it gets crowded at lunch time.
Nothing fancy, order at counter setup. Food will not disappoint. Highly recommended.
It's across the parking lot from the Emagine theater, so we stopped in for the first time after our movie. We were greeted right away, fast friendly service. We dined in and the restaurant was clean. they also have a little self service bar with all their salsas/condiments and fresh toppings. Food came out fast. Would definitely come back when I'm in the area again. The crew here were all extremely friendly and welcoming.
Found this place while out for a Sunday drive. So glad I did! The tacos and enchiladas are unreal! The meat is so tender and well seasoned with sauce. I also love the salsa bar. Everything has such fresh and bright flavors, you’ll be satisfied! The inside might not look the fanciest, but the food is where the magic happens! So much better than your big chain restaurants. Try it out!
The cooks are singing Spanish songs in the kitchen is my favorite part! I stopped in for lunch and will definitely be back. Recommended by the person who rang up my order, I had #11 with chicken tinga and verde sauce and it was BOMB! My mouth is on fire, so don’t order this if you don’t like spice 🔥
The Google reviews surely didn’t lie on this place. Stopped here for a lunch and now I have a new favorite Mexican spot. I got the enchiladas platter with roasted pork as my meat and it was all that AND MORE :) SO SO YUMMY!
I love their salsa bar and the chips that comes with each combo meal. Very well priced and fast service. Give ‘em a try, you wont regret it.

As soon as you see the front of the restaurant you say to yourself “you know that food bussin”. Cashier was super nice and helpful. The food was amazing. i had the barbacoa corn tortilla tacos (#2) i got 3 tacos chips and a drink for 13$. for the quality it was well worth it and they have a condiment bar for toppings and salsas. 10/10 recommend coming here if you’re in the area.
Great place, you can tell they take pride in the salsa bar as they should. The salsas and sauces are amazing and the homemade recipes are incredible. I had the #9 carne asada street tacos with rice, beans, chips and salsa. Plenty of food and I loved every bite, almost ate the plate it was so good. I’ve had the chimichangas and it was top notch. I’ll be back again and again.

After passing by this place for years I finally went in for some quick tacos before catching a movie. It was a total score. We can't stop eating their tacos! We've never tried anything else on the menu. The staff are kind, the prices are reasonable and the food is simple and honest. If you are the kind of person who needs fancy plates and interior decor, skip going here. Then again, if you're that kind of person you probably suck and couldn't appreciate good Mexican food if it bit you. The bottom line, this is the place for tacos.
Large burrito is enough for 2 and great! Their menu has all the standard Mexican food but is definitely some of the best around! Would highly recommend. Good seating and lighting.
