Just want to send a huge thank you to Jesse Held and the amazing staff for making my birthday so amazing! The place is spectacular.. Drinks are awesome ... Decor is fantastic... Customer service is the best in the twin cities... Everyone needs to experience this fantastic spot... 2 thumbs up!!!
Everyone posting negative reviews here because some famous actor had a bad experience is completely out of line.
Its not fair to the company or the owners because someone who has "followers" had a bad experience. Doesn't mean the whole restaurant is bad. Every restaurant has a bad day... You guys are potentially taking business away from this place because of a situation you you know nothing about.
Honestly, we're any of you there to see or hear what happened? There's 2 sides to every story.
Completely childish of all of you.
*edit
My whole point is, yes, maybe the actor had a terrible experience. They have every right to express their review. But people here that have never been here giving it a bad rating is wrong.
By all means, spread the word of the incident.
SHARE the post. The stars from reviews are based on average experience. Not one actors. Don't give false reviews.
Food, drinks, atmosphere of a haunted house, what more could you want?
The menu had a good spread of food and apps, we got the cheese plate and although the cheese was good, the crackers were honestly so good we asked for another serving.
They make any cocktails you want, but their Lumbersexual was a good citrusy take on the Cosmo, and definitely worth a try.
A decent amount of seating for the space, and the atmosphere is super dark and moody and really gives a spooky, haunted, vampire's basement vibe.
Definitely worth a visit!
Oh and bathrooms were clean. 👍
This was an unexpected find on a Monday night in Minneapolis! Loved the lowlight ambience and all the candles everywhere!
Menu was sufficient enough for light bites. I thoroughly enjoyed the Double Dirty burger, one of the best in the city. My friend loved her housemade Pop Tart (reminiscent of a toaster strudel, but with a rotation of flavors).
As a nondrinker, I also like a place that puts a strong focus on quality nonalcoholic drinks. Try the Even Bitter -- exquisite!
WILL BE BACK!!
It’s so nice inside. It’s actually one of the nicer prohibition bars in the twin cities. The drinks are delicious! Call ahead for a party larger than 6. And after you do that, the day of, make sure you call again to confirm. They put my party of 8 in a small space. We made the most out of it. If you don’t like their food menu, they serve Monello - which is delicious! FYI - if you’re going to bring a cake, there is a $4 per slice up charge.
One of my favorite places if not the one for me in Minneapolis when talking about a night out. Relaxed, chill out lounge, love the music, the food, and the signature drinks are the best. Go, unwind, and have the best time in the company of your choice.
Place definitely looks straight out of a modern Vampire 🧛♂️ movie 🎥.
Place is actually affordable if you take in consideration the location and the ambiance of the place super trendy and elegant
The service could use a little help but prices not bad
$5 burgers 🍔 ? In a place like this I was mind blown lol the drinks 🍺 are actually almost all the same price (the cocktails that is ) usually around 12-14$
Place closes late around midnight comparing to most bars in Minneapolis area which close around 9 pm
I do highly recommend this place as and after party spot or just for a chill night
Should be on your list to visit
Oh the place located inside the IVY residences in the basement
I'd read several lists and articles recommending this bar before going so I was pretty sure I'd like it. Constantine managed to blow away my high expectations.
Unfortunately I don't have many photos of the awesome decor because that's arguably the best part of this swanky, gothic hotel basement-bar. There are plenty already on Google though and really no pic can live up to the actual experience of being there so just go.
I do thankfully have pictures of the excellent drinks we got. The first one, served in a tea cup, is called the Drink Me, a concoction of gin, green tea and flavors that were sweet and went down so smooth. Above is the Lumbersexual, a citrus vodka drink that was tart and sharp with just enough sweetness to balance it out. In the second pick was my favorite, the Passion of the Corpse Reviver, a take on the classic drink with a citrus punch and happened to be the local spirit highlight on the menu. Above that is the Chill Pill, a rum, pineapple, coconut cream blend of deliciousness. Final pick are of the tots served with cheese sauce, delicious and a very generous portion for only $7.
This was, overall, one of my favorite bars I've been to in years. It's atmosphere is dark and gorgeous and really transports you to another place and time. The drinks were all delicious and wonderfully presented and the service was absolutely top notch. Our server was incredibly friendly and fun and really added to the whole experience for us. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in the Twin Cities.
We absolutely love this cocktail lounge. My favorite time to go is in the early evening for pre-dinner cocktails in a relaxed environment or to grab some happy hour snacks. Incredible cocktails are truly the star of this great little gothic atmosphere bar.
We just discovered this place. They said they recently reopened after COVID. They are inside Ivy Hotel in Minneapolis. They have a sister restaurant upstairs (Monello). We came in for a few drinks and snacks during happy hour. Great service and atmosphere. I will love this place even better late at night for an after dinner drink at Monello! I loved the food and great service. We will be back with friends.
Update: Two visits later, it's still a great place to go to.
Hey Loves while I'm MN I was able to go to a pretty cool nightclub called Constantine @constantinempls located in downtown
Minneapolis. If your looking for a Goth, Game of Thrones, Vamp vibe...this is your place. They are located on the basement floor of the Hotel Ivy in Minneapolis. They have a live DJ playing and amazing knowledgeable mixologist serving up some delicious crafted drinks. But wait loves the Constantine offers a $5 dollar burger The Constantine Burger and Oh My Oh My...it's juicy, well seasoned, and dripping with Rich Melted Cheese…..Damn it's that good yall. Not only is this place offering happy hour. But they have events too. Such as drink making. Go check this place out loves. You won't want to miss it.
The ambiance is certainly moody, the drinks are strong and the service was courteous and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Love the lounge chairs and the lighting, plus the cocktails are beautiful. Great for a gathering with friends, girls, or a datenight.
