1029 Bar

This is a solid dive bar with beer and food as you would expect from a dive bar. The drinks were good, and the food was solid if youre here for a snack. They had pull tabs which, for someone who's not from around here, is so interesting. We were able to win, but quickly gave it all back in the form of reinvestment. All good, it's for charity I think. No complaints about the bar, easy going place with nice people!

Great dive bar where The Smack Shack’s food truck retired. New England worthy lobster rolls, perfect Lobster Mac and Cheese, Shrimp, Lamb, and much more. Featured on TV show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Nice outdoor shaded patio. It is for everyone! Families with kids coloring at tables, college kids, seniors, adults of all ages. Great for watching sports or Bingo or Meat Raffles. One of my favorite Minneapolis eateries.

Fantastic dive bar! It's small and usually incredibly busy so go in knowing that sometimes there is a wait with how often the staff can check on you. They never have forgotten anything and once good is ordered it's usually real quick. More importantly consistently great! Tried the new lobster poutine and omg. I didn't know I needed Taleggio gravy in my life. The mac and cheese is a standard and I always need to grab some too. From someone who likes to find a deal it's not too expensive if you stay away from the lobster, but I think the lobster poutine was a fantastic purchase for the price.

Love the outdoor patio and atmosphere here. Dive bar feel inside. Karaoke Wednesday-Saturdays. We had great service. The Smack Wings with homemade blue cheese dressing were bomb. Definitely had a kick but not too overwhelming. Definitely recommend the Spiced Stormy for a drink. Free parking lot attached to the bar. Will be back!

We couldn't have had more fun. The have an amazing and vibrant atmosphere. Our server Emma gave every table the best she had to offer. We had so much fun with her. And even as out group got larger she still managed to keep up with requests and jokes we were shouting at her. Now the food. I can't say this strongly enough. THE LOBSTER IS REAL. THE WINGS ARE SEASONED TO PERFECTION. THE BURGER WAS THICK AND JUICY. AND THE FRENCH FRY SEASONING I WANTED TO TAKE HOME. the drink menu is a little light but they will create whatever mix you want. And they are not stingy with the spirits. I wish I could take this place back to Texas with me.
