My best friend are both impressed with Cave Vin. Loved our house white wine from Spain - only $6 a glass. The PEI mussels for a small plate were delicious. We shared our entree (chicken) and loved every bite. A hidden neighborhood gem. Make sure to make a reservation.

Cave Vin is truly a neighborhood gem! The food is always outstanding (mussels, frites and tartar are go-tos) and the service is exemplary. Ken is a consummate host and a delightful conversationalist. If you’re lucky enough to have Marquis as a server, your evening will be even better! The atmosphere is elegant, yet comfortable, and I always feel welcomed, whether dressed up or down. One of our very favorites!

My wife and I had the pleasure of going to Cave Vin for the first time. We were looking for a hidden gem restaurant we haven’t been to before and are so happy we went here. The service was incredible and the food delicious. Best tartare I’ve ever had. I don’t know much about wine but enjoyed tasting what my wife ordered. They seem to have a great selection. We can’t wait to come back again!

Delicious! The service is outstanding, the drinks just keep on coming, the food is delicious and I honestly can't say enough. THE BEST GARLIC FRIES in the Twin Cities. --------------------- Update: Highly recommend the tartare, the lamb, the steak, the tres leches cake and the fries. They no longer do the garlic fries but the fries are still on point and I could drink the garlic aoili it's so good. We've been coming here for 3 years and it's still a super chill intimate place with amazing food and great service. The menu can change whenever they feel like it (they print it the day of and can even customize it if you have a special celebration) so you never get bored! --------------------- Post pandemic update: still a great place with delicious food and service. They haven't sacrificed quality at all.

This place is such a gem! The service was unmatched. The manager (maybe owner) was quick to greet us, gave us a sample of wine while we waited and checked in frequently. The food was incredible! The pesto pasta was amazing, the beat salad was a surprisingly refreshing and delicious starter that I was not expecting to love as much as I did! It was all great. Would definitely recommend!

What a delightful and cozy gem of a restaurant! This was our first time dining at Cavé Vin, but it won't be our last. From start to finish we were impressed with the quality of the delicious food and engaging, proficient service. The mussels in white wine were perhaps the best I have ever enjoyed, and the salad of alternately layered beets and cucumbers tasted as wonderful as it was artfully presented. The top sirloin was blanketed in a smooth demi glace and served with a pat of Bleu cheese butter that slowly melted into the sauce. My one regret was not ordering the baguette to mop up all the decadent sauces that accompanied the mussels and steak! We will definitely add Cavé Vin into our rotation of favorite restaurants!

This unsuspecting gem was an exquisite dining experience. With a party of 4, we practically tried everything. There is an amazing wine selection that the staff is informed on and we had an exquisite paring. All of the food was amazing, truly a feast. Come hungry. We did not have room for dessert, so we had both and we do not regret them. I highly recommend this restaurant and the owner is just absolutely wonderful. Before we left, a table before us applauded the kitchen staff. We should have done the same. One of my favorite restaurants in Mpls.

I love this cozy little nook. I can always count on an exceptional meal and is one of a very few places I look forward to dessert. Tres Leches is a MUST! The pork tenderloin is fabulous, and has not changed since I first dined here many moons ago. The mussels are the best I have had anywhere. Simple, classic, no-nonsense preparation with quality ingredients. I decided on the Flank Steak this time and it certainly did not disappoint! Perfectly cook and delicious, but don't take my word for it, check out the pic! Cheers!

Best meal I've had in a while! Mussels that taste like they actually came from the sea in the most delicious sauce. Our server suggested that she leave the bowl and bring more bread - a woman who just gets it. Perfectly cooked lamb and vegetables. My partner thought his steak was a little overdone, but still melt in your mouth high quality. Went for my birthday and received complimentary dessert. If you like chocolatey spoonfuls of heaven, I highly recommend the pot de creme.

Been wanting to try this place for a long time. I love French restaurants. Unfortunately there isn’t much for French food on the menu but the owner did say if you book ahead they can pre-order escargot and they serve it out of the shell in what I’m sure is some great garlic buttery yumminess. Service is exceptional (we had Andy) and they personalize the menu which is fun. You can tell the Caesar salad dressing is home made (very good). Great mussels and steak tar tar. Not a fan of sirloin being served with the steak frites. Not much flavor to that cut but it was cooked perfectly with a very nice outside sear. Frites and aioli were great. Nice light desserts as well. Wine menu wasn’t extensive but gives you what you’d need (besides a Bordeaux) and it’s affordable.

The menu at Cave Vin is full of variety. It's the perfect place to go if you're looking to explore different flavors and try something new. American dishes are really awesome.
