He made a special chicken barria taco. It was grand I tell you. My favorite roll is the black bean and sweet potato with the original sauce.
There was a Nashville Hot Shrimp Po Boy that was introduced. Incredible!! Delicioso!!
I have been eating his rolls before funky fresh was established. Trueman has come a long way. His food is delicious. He is a very kind and caring business owner.
Funky fresh has the best spring rolls I’ve ever had. They always taste fresh and delicious and the sauce topped it all off. If you haven’t tried them you should you’ll love them. All of the flavors are great so I don’t have a favorite they’re all my favorite. They’re also great to put out for parties.
I have so many great things to say about this place. Sherman Phoenix in its entirety is an amazing place! The atmosphere, the people, the vibes the design I just love this place. Funky Fresh especially! The egg rolls are FIRE! Great combinations like buffalo chicken and kale, chicken broccoli and mushrooms. You won't find better egg rolls.
Love these rolls! They are the perfect after school snack. My teen pops them into the air fryer and enjoys them. I usually keep two packs in the freezer. Chicken Club are our favorites!

Funky Fresh Spring Rolls used to be a treat when I had time to visit the Sherman Phoenix (SP). Now, I'm able to grab a couple of bags of the frozen rolls either at the SP or at a local grocery store. The convenience is awesome. Still, nothing beats going up to the counter at the brick and mortar location. The staff is always cool and professional. When I'm lucky to see TrueMan, the owner, it's always awesome.
So my friend asked if I could pick up her bowl today because they were no longer selling from Sherman Phoenix after this week. I thought I will get bowls for my entire clan. Well all I can say is “Please Stay!!” The bowls were amazingly flavorful and prepared with care. Packed with veggies, savory potatoes and a fresh avocado atop. This family business (I’m presuming) is a blessing in a sea of restaurants whose focus is on poorly fried greasy foods and typical soul food I make 10x better at home. This brother has a great product and I wish he and and his family the best with their future endeavor. My only regret is that I had not taken the time to have supported this business more than I did today and years ago when they first opened!
Finally got a chance to try the new bowls at Funky Fresh and omg...they are amazing. I had the chicken adobe with a ton of other toppings including avocado (addl charge and we'll worth it). I answered Funky Fresh trivia and got 10% off. The bowl was amazing. Can't wait to try other combos. Customer service is always top notch and the staff is always about business. I love it and the new direction. Keep growing FF!!!
I have been ordering Funky Fresh frozen rolls for several years and LOVE them! Great flavor, so tasty, and most importantly taste fresh! Bonus for me now is when my stock is low, my sendiks in tosa has them!! 💃🏻 Love the product! Great service and delivery is very fast! Thank you!
We bought 2 bags of the frozen rolls at the shop. So far we've had the gyro rolls and they were delicious. We pan fried in olive oil based on a Facebook video I found that was from a couple of years go. Highly recommend!
