n A Nutshell: -If you like local dive bars then Monica's is a great place to check out for a pint or two if you are in the neighborhood. -The neighborhood is nice & tranquil so it's nice to have a place like this to enjoy. -The bar is 360 degrees so many places to sit & order a Wisconsin beer. -There are also small tables/chairs if you have a small group. -In addition there is a pool table if you fancy that. Overall, the service is very friendly & the beers aren't priced high, so it's a cool place to grab drinks.

This place was recommended to my husband and I by some locals while we were on vacation in Milwaukee. The bartender Josh was awesome. Super friendly and attentive, we had some great conversation! The bar was also very clean and visually appealing. The atmosphere was casual and fun. We had a great night there, thanks!

What a magical and fantastic place for a meet cute. I was sitting at the bar, minding my own business earlier this week, and in walked the most gorgeous woman. Her smile and dimples lit up the low lit room. I shakily set down my beer. Is this real? I must be dreaming, I thought to myself. As soon as we locked eyes, we ran into each other's arms for a long, blissful hug. At least now, I knew she was real. We spent the next two hours laughing and learning about each other. It was a special evening in the basement of Monica's. I can't guarantee you that the same thing is going to happen to you, but hey, man, why not give it a shot? Oh, and they have a decent tap beer list and a pretty extensive bourbon list for a dive bar. So there's that.

This is a true Milwaukee hidden gem. It is so easy to walk past this place and have no idea that it is a bar. It is located in the basement of the building and it is a wonderful place to go and relax. The negative, truthfully, is that sometimes the bartender plays the music so loud that it's deafening in this small space. . Relaxing furniture. Cool bar. Wonderful atmosphere.

How fun is this little dive bar!? The bar has a "speakeasy" vibe since it's in a basement without too conspicuous of signage. We went to view the Packer's playoff game and stayed for the fun and games inside. For a basement bar, it's a fairly decent size - enough space for a pool and darts. There is also a nice cozy nook with a fire place to hang out around along with an area towards the back to play any board/drinking games of your choosing. The drinks are also great and cheap! The selection is on par with more upscale places without the price tag. Definitely check this place out! Come for the drinks, stay for the vibe!

This is a Milwaukee gem by far. Such a nice intimate urban bar. The underground location is super cool. Makes you feel like it's gonna be a cocktail lounge from the outside but it's actually a very elegant tavern on the inside. Awesome awesome fireplace with nice sitting perfect for couples. They have 3 slot machines and a pool table and darts. Really modest prices that will Def make me a repeat customer. Bartender Def knew what she was doing. Had a really good time. I definitely recommend if you are meeting a small group or you wanna impress a date.

This is a fantastic little Hidden Gem in milwaukee. It's a great place to come for drinks, and conversation. I've never had an issue having a conversation with anyone here. It's easy to be heard, and the staff is friendly.

We love going here, especially for a drink or two on a weeknight when it's nice and chill. Weekends are fun as well--plenty of socializing without being overwhelming. Bartenders are great!
