Good Food, but not for a young family. I went here for a friday fish fry with my wife and two small children (ages: almost 2, and almost 4). We had heard great things about the fish fry and wanted to give it a try.
Food: My expectations probably were a little high since I kept hearing out amazing the fish fry was. In reality it was good and not nearly as greasy as a lot of fish frys are, but it wasn't the "WOW" experiance some had sold it as.
Service: A little slow, but they were busy.
My Issue: Master Z's is very much of a Pool Hall / Bar that serves good food rather then a full blown restaurant. Half the tables are the tall tables that require stools, they had only two high chairs, and tons of games and such around the dinning area.
This is all fine if your going with a party of adults or an older family, but it was difficult for my young family. Both high chairs were taken when I got there. Sitting next to the pinball machines and other games was very distracting for my 4 year old, and the tall tables limited our seating options.
Overall: I would definately eat their again, but only if I can go without the kids until they grow up a little.
Good deal-good people. The folks that run it now really have a good thing going. Great food, good atmosphere and good weekly specials. Fish fry is wonderful & a great wait staff. We take our 2 young boys there (at appropriate times) to shoot pool and eat dinner on occasion. Hope they keep up the good work!
My husband and I love their fish fries. I have had other menu items also and have never been disappointed. The servers are so friendly and quick. The Cooks know how to make great food.
We went on a Monday night for a couple of beers and dinner. My wife loved her fish wrap and my pizza was excellent. While the bar wasn't full, they had lots going on including trivia, poker, and bocce. It's also band season and this is a great place for live music.
We have a Wed. Lunch club and this week we decided to try the Cue club. The staff was very friendly and got us drinks fast. The overall service (we had 9 guys) was very good. The food was ?? I had a 10" pizza and the crust was burnt. One guy ordered a medium cheeseburger and it was cooked to death. Two ordered the 2 piece fish and the breading was very thick. One guy had the wrap and liked it. One guy ordered the full Perch fishfry and got 4 pieces for $17.00 and was very satisfied. The place has plenty of room and really good people. It is just kind of sad the food was off.
What an terrific facility located in Waukesha. A large assortment of pool tables and corn hole lanes. A great variety of food and hear there fish fry is to die for. On the weekends a awesome venue for live music
Loved thus place. Plenty of activities. Had the best time playing bags, darts, pool, and shuffle board. The locals were all friendly! Service is the best. Oh and the pretzel probably weighs more than a newborn baby...so get it!
Great place for a gathering when watching a Packer game. The food was very good.
Went for fish fry and split the blue gill and pirch with my buddy. Both were really good and would definitely go back.
My first time here. I heard the fish fry was excellent, which it was. The one issue I had was with the extremely rude older thin blonde bartender that handed me my food. Wow. Told me it was an extra charge for using my bank card. Turned her back when I said thank you. No response. Cold as ice in my opinion. The cod fish fry was outstanding. IF I ever go back, hopefully SHE won't be working. Gave me a very uneasy feeling.
We normally go here for drinks and bags but heard the fish fry was good so gave it a try. Ashley provided exceptional service and the fish fry was fantastic! Between our party we had the cod, blue gill and perch... perch was the favorite with the bit of spice in the breading but all were delicious. Kids had an all meat pizza, delightful cracker crust and just the perfect amount of toppings. Drinks were well made and atmosphere was good. Likely to be our new go to place for fish fry!! Discovering places like Cue Club of Wisconsin is such fun, especially when the owners and staff are amazing, the place is well-maintained and the food is SO delicious. The fish? Light and served piping hot. The batter? Crisp with no trace of greasiness. They even have a mini fish fry for $6.50. Before or after dinner guests can play pool, ping pong, darts, shuffle board and foosball.
When you visit, look for owner Michael Remitz. He'll probably be at the front counter greeting guests with a great smile.
