This is my family’s go-to for Sunday Ham n Rolls, breads, a great lunch special and special- occasion treats. If you get the chance, try the fish sandwich. So good!
I have never had a bad experience here. I live 3 blocks away and visit frequently. A delicious asset to the neighborhood!
Hot ham and Rolls were great and Donuts were great and staff members
Lakeside Bakery created a beautiful wedding cake for our wedding day! They shared examples of what our cake could look like and were very flexible to let us pick up samples to taste when we didn't have the time to stop by for a full tasting. They delivered a tasty cake that our guests enjoyed (no leftovers!). Their pricing is also very reasonable. My only critique would be that they could be more responsive and organized; it did take several attempts at reaching out to get in touch with them and confirm my order. But overall, we were very satisfied with our cake!
Very good hard rolls. My dad went there to get them and decided to pick up hot ham as well for me. And damn it's good. Better than grebes!
Waited with my number patiently for the delicious pastry items (apple fritter!) and hot ham and assortment of rolls. Will be back to support this fantastic place.

Allow me to set the record straight about Lakeside Bakery. First off, this place is AWESOME. They have fresh, cheap bakery every day that they're open, delicious cakes and cookies, deli salad options, hot ham and rolls, and full-size cakes! They also offer wedding cakes! People need to be more mindful that this is a small, local business, and a BAKERY nonetheless. When you go to a bakery, orders take time. That's just the way it is; staff have to arrange your donut choices in a box, they're constantly refilling their cases with the day's stock, they're shredding fresh ham for your Sunday brunch. Every time I'm in, there are only like five people working, and they aren't dragging their feet. They're kind, informative, and always willing to help. You take a number upon entry, and based on my experiences, it can take from 10 to 25 minutes for your turn to happen; that's JUST how it is at local businesses like this! If you don't have time to wait for delicious, local baked goods, Pick-n-Save is just down the road with their stale donuts and deli made without love. Personally, you can't beat the goods at Lakeside.
Oh, and one more thing...I've worked in customer service jobs for over ten years...no staff member of a business wants to wait on someone who's on the phone. If your number is called, and you're in the middle of a phone call, for the love of all that is good, call your person back after your order and give the staff member your attention and respect. There are often dozens of individuals waiting for goods at Lakeside, the staff should not have to put up with customers who are distracted during their order. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Any time a family member has gone to the hospital across the street there bakery always makes the day a little more happy. My kids holidays cookies there the best!!
wonderful customer service. maple bacon specialty donut was absolutely incredible! add it to the menu please. 10/10 bakery. will be back soon!
Great little neighborhood bakery. I always make a point to get their almond horns when I come here. Overall good selection of pastries, doughnuts, breads and deli items. Definitely recommend it if you’re in the area!

One of the top bakeries in Milwaukee. Salads, cookies, breads, rolls, and desserts. Doughnuts are the best. Try to find a jelly doughnut with that much jelly elsewhere. Good luck.
I am a small new business but I feel like a giant with the service I get each and every time I place an order with the fabulous employees and owners! The baguettes 🥖 I use exclusively for my catering along with their deli meats both are delicious!
