Excellent service, friendly staff and they have the biggest, freshest, best tasting oysters ive ever eaten in my life.... not to mention their blackened cobia fish tacos were also the best tasting fish tacos ive also ever eaten... if there was an option for ten stars id give them a ten for excellent service, food and having a great friendly staff.
Went to Golden Rule for birthday dinner with family. It was the first time for most of us. We sat outside under Tiki Hut. I decided to have the catch of the day, yellow snapper with mashed potatoes and vegetables and fish was fresh, moist and favorable. It was a great choice. Crab cakes, coconut shrimp, lobster bisque were also delicious. My birthday fried banana cheesecake was out of this world. The outside atmosphere was awesome. Felt like we were somewhere else and server was friendly! Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!!
This place was great.
The service was decent, only issue was the party amount, a total of 45 guest. This caused them to not fully remember who ordered what.
The food was delicious, although I did order the Cajun shrimp and grits, it was not as spicy as I thought it would be. The fries were flavorful and decently crisp. No undercooking and evenly seasoned.
Now their house drinks are worth trying. It isn’t on the pricy side, it was creamy and flavorful. I would definitely bring the family here for future visits.
If you like a tropical atmosphere this is the place to visit! The landscaping created a lovely backdrop and plenty of fishes to draw kids/adults attention. The food and drinks were relatively good. Plenty of packing and seating for big or small parties.

Fresh fresh fresh! Drove here from Fort Lauderdale for something new and it did not disappoint! 5-stars well deserved. Note, this is not “fine dining” in the white linen tablecloth sense. It’s casual dining in a large airy tiki hut surrounded by lush foliage and a nice little koi pond.
The five stars are well deserved because the seafood was so fresh! The oysters were as big as I’ve ever seen (east coast) and had such a sweet fresh flavor…I gobbled up all six myself! They also were expertly shucked…no tiny pieces of shell like you might get from an inexperienced shucker.
The shrimp app was great too. Large shrimp cooked just right (they’re so easy to overcook and turn chewy or rubbery…not here!
The entrees were great too. Had the shrimp and grits (yum!) and jumbo stone crab claws. The claws came nicely cracked so it was easy to pull out that succulent meat and dip it into the butter. Soooooo good! I was so busy diving into those claws that I didn’t even get a picture!
This is a great place for fresh seafood (they also have ribs and steaks, but we don’t try the meats). Excellent family location. Easy access and decent parking. For a weekend date night, it was worth the drive from Fort Lauderdale.
We love eating here. Fresh seafood is the jam. The Cajun Shrimp and Grits are to die for. The taste is awesome. The drinks are very interesting and a good menu to pick one. We always take dessert home. The mud pie is gouy and delicious.
This place is a hidden gem. We loved the food and the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. Their food is really good as well. I highly recommend this place.
Nice relaxing place to have a bite. Food was very good and live music was just right.

Yesterday, I visited for the second time Golden Rule Speafood Restaurant. I sat under the Tiki hut. I was fascinated by all the plants and fish pond. The bar area and restaurant were full. They also had live music and I enjoyed my dining experience. I ordered their snapper sandwich with coleslaw and french fries. For dessert I ordered the key lime pie, it was fresh and creamy. Service was fast and my waiter was very attentive and nice 🙂
I really enjoyed the whole fish. Annabelle, our server was professional and friendly, but the young man (wearing the stocking hat) was the exact opposite. I appreciated the chef coming out to apologize for his behavior. I will come back again.
Excellent. Our favorite local seafood market and family friendly restaurant in Palmetto Bay. From the tuna tostadas to the tacos and even the classic main lobster 🦞 rolls are well executed. The outdoor seating under the tiki hut with the bar is ideal. The fans keep it cool and the service great too.
Service: Mike makes the best drinks 🍹 and the best server the is ! Never disappoints!
Food: Everything I’ve had so far was excellent!
