Phattra

In search of a new Thai resteraunt to try , me & my fam stumbled upon this place. The food here was good. I ordered the drunken rice with shrimp and calamari as an app. The service was slow, we had to wave someone down whenever we needed something because no one ever checked up on us. Nonetheless , the food was good. However I still have yet to find a better Thai resteraunt than rice & noodles in Monclair 😩 .

This was my first time here, but my sister loves it. I WAS SO GLAD SHE BROUGHT ME!! I love this place, the decor is awesome and it's bigger than you think, there are two dinning area. The food was delicious not too spicy but you can make it as spicy as you can handle. I wish I remembered to take pic of my Basil Duck but I was so hungry but the presentation to great and the duck was tender and not greasy and to top it off this is a BYOB...will definitely be a repeat costumer!!

My husband and I Love Thai food. Since Phattra came onto the scene, it has been our absolute favorite! One of the biggest positives for a restaurant... it is consistent with it's flavor and quality! We spent a few weeks in Thailand, had amazing food, and Phattra food matches the great quality we experienced in Thailand. The spice/flavor is well balanced, the vegetables are cooked well but still fresh and crunchy. The noodles are not overcooked (we've seen many Asian places turn big flat noodles into mush). I'm also a fan of Thai iced tea and they do an excellent job without skimping on drink size. (I've seen other places fill the whole glass with ice but very little tea). Their curries each have different flavor profiles and are wonderful. They are not overly spicy (unless you request it), and pair so nicely with the fresh steamed rice. If you don't think you are a "curry person", I still recommend giving it a try. It's basically some extra sauce on your rice ;) We moved an hour away, and will place to-go orders when we're in the area to stock at home =) But if you are in the area, I recommend going inside. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with hanging golden leaves, pictures from Thailand and other cultural decorations that make for a lovely experience. I would try any dish from this restaurant and look forward to visiting again =)
