Shrimp Poboy I Love it!. I've been there three times. Each time I ordered a shrimp poboy. They are so good! My wife and I order one and split it. Twice we road to the Bonneville boat launch just a short drive from the restaurant and ate it there. It is absolutely delicious! I can't imagine a better shrimp poboy.
MMMMmmmm. Can't beat this eatery. I always call ahead and walk in to my order being freshly bagged, just after being freshly made. You should try it once for your self to understand. Now I know about this Metry Secret, I do not have to drive to NOLA's Parkway for a giant Shrimp Sandwich anymore.
Solid poboys and daily lunch specials. Quick, friendly service
Damn good shrimp poboy at an even better price. No frills, just good food.
Best poboys in the city!!!. A hidden gem in the heart of Metairie, Poboy King is a fantastic place to grab a quick bite. I've been there a few times in the past couple of months and each experience is more memorable than the last. I've lived in this city my entire life and have been eating poboys just as long. Poboy king is definitely my new favorite place to grab a sandwich. So far I've had the trout, fried shrimp, and fried oyster poboys. All of them out of this world. If you haven't been here yet you should definitely go soon.
Great little neighborhood po-boy place! But don't go there for a relaxing lunch, very limited seating and always busy at lunch time. Take the classic flavors home or on a picnic, I guarantee you'll be back! Best hot sausage in Metairie, great shrimp and roast beef too!

Oyster Poboy and roast beef were delicious!
Affordable Hot Plates. It's hard these days to get a hot plate of food for under $10.00. After seeing a copy of the Poboy King menu, I ordered the Hamburger Steak special to go on a Wednesday night. From the mashed potatoes to the green beans to the hamburger steak, it was all pretty tasty and only costs $7.50. I will definitely go back to try other specials or po-boys. Based on the portions, this place seems to be a great bargain and quality food for a great price.
Hot Roast Beef ?. Since I work nearby I tried Po Boy King for the first time, I had the roast beef dressed, the roast wasn't warm enough and did not have a lot of flavor but the bread was good. On my next visit my friend had the liver cheese and turkey combo dressed, he said his was pretty good but the french fries tasted frozen, I tried the meatball po-boy dressed, the gravy tasted homemade but the meatballs are definitely not, I am sure they are pre made, the guy that was behind the counter with a beard and glasses on said they were home made, he was hard to understand the way he talked. Anyway if your in the neighborhood it;s not bad. The guy with the beard said I should try the trout po-boy, he said it's fresh from lake pontchatrain.
Awesome food friendly owners and cute boy behind counter would definitely recommend to everyone
Tried a delivery app for the first time today. I was going to get Subway near my house but unfortunately, they do not allow delivery. I tried this place randomly. Boy, am I glad I did. They finished it very quickly and my delivery driver brought it under the estimated wait time. I haven't had a hot sausage sandwich in a minute and it has the perfect amount of kick to it. Loved the fried okra too. I also love how they punched holes on the top of the okra container to prevent condensation. They dress the sandwich pretty doggone good too. I hate a dry sandwich. Try them!
We happened upon this place because of proximity to our house--& never need to try anywhere else. Both the shrimp & roast beef poboys were the best we have had in many years. PLUS the breaded veal was actual veal--not the ground veal patties we have had everywhere else. Looking forward to tasting all their daily specials over the next few weeks. Outstanding service, as well.
Mom & Pop joint, but don't judge a book by its cover! We loved everything and will come back. Good service! (Check the price difference between the sizes...sometimes it's worth it and sometimes it's pricey.)
Pro-Boy King certianly lived up to its name. The 12 inch soft shell is amazing. Fried to perfection with just the right amount of spice in the batter. Definetly something to check out. When Bourban street is to busy for you take a 15 minute drive out of the city and I promise you wont be disappointed.
Definitely worth the 15 min drive from Bourbon Street. The sandwich was delicious and the staff was super sweet. Will be back when we come to New Orleans again.
The food here is good. Not only do they havepo- boys, but they also have daily lunch plates. Friendly staff and Chef Tony is great too. Good quality food at reasonable prices. They also sell Dat sauce.... And Dat ketchup.... it's great for adding to your specialty burgers or just for dipping your French fries. Got to try this place!
Great lille poboy shop just off Veterans near Bonnabel. Tiny parking area but plenty of area parking. Very fair prices for a nice size poboy. A small eat in area and a very active takeout business. I'm looking forward to going back!
