Large menu, I like lots of choices, they always have a long list of specials too! I'm very picky about my red sauce, a lot of places are too sweet or too seasoned, Chef Andrea makes a great red sauce! I had the cannelloni with a tomato and avocado salad with the best balsamic vinegar dressing. My son had a side of pasta and cheese and said it was the best! I'm surprised there are mixed views on this place, nobody is perfect therefore nothing is perfect but anyone who didn't have a great experience one time should definitely give this place a second chance! I've never had a bad experience here. That being said there is definitely room for error at any restaurant.
We went last night to the Anniversary wine tasting dinner. Unbelievably fantastic in every way. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was phenomenal, the wines were all expertly paired (and our glasses were never empty for long!), the mood in the room was jovial, and the ambiance was perfection. The speckled trout meuniere with crab meat was something out of this world with its buttery, lemony goodness, and the sirloin was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Every course was truly wonderful. I could go on and on. Thank you, Chef Andrea and everyone there! We can't wait to return and bring more friends and family!
First came to Andrea’s twenty-one years ago and it hasn’t changed much (which is good). The place is classic northern Italian with a creole twist. Our group enjoyed red snapper, veal parmigiana, and spaghetti with meatballs. The caprese salad and pasta fagioli were nice starters. We finished with tiramisu and praline cheesecake. Chef Andrea always comes out and greets each guest which is wonderful. They even sent a car to pick us up from the French Quarter. We love Andrea’s.

I’ve been traveling to Metairie/New Orleans for a couple of years now for work and have driven by this restaurant on numerous occasions wondering if I should try it. Yesterday, I went with a friend for lunch and am so glad I did. The food and service were outstanding. We even had a visit from Chef Andrea, himself. Will definitely go back.
I had an AMAZING experience. Dinning here was the highlight of my NOLA trip. I was treated like a princess and felt like a princess. Absolutely amazing food and service. The wine is also amazing—he visits his home in ltaly to make the wine himself. He introduced himself to every table and made us feel as if we were actually in Italy. I recommend that everyone visit's Andrea's!
We love this restaurant . The food is great. The chef is accommodating. The Friday night music is some of the best around.
Place was great I would go back if I ate at any place twice. Beer tenderloin melted in my mouth. Calamari was okay, had better. Service was great. I would recommend at least one visit. 3.5 out 5 scale. One waiter sneezed in his hands another scratched his balz while reading a reciept in the middke of the dining area. Point blank view!! Glad he wasnt my waiter.
I thoroughly enjoy each and every time I eat at Andreas Restaurant! Crab cakes and shrimp cocktail are a must every time I go. Whether you are getting a fish or steak you are at the right place! There is always something they can fix up for the kids and something for everyone if you like seafood of course! You can usually find Chef Andrea meeting and greeting with his guests and if not don't worry, he's in the kitchen! All in all it is good place to eat if you have an open mind and enjoy eating different menu items!
Loved it.. I am really surprised at the horrible reviews this restaurant has received. My husband and I went last evening as it was close to the airport. It was very romantic, nicely decorated (okay, I am not an interior designer by any means, but it seemed very nice to me), service was excellent, and the menu items didn't seem overpriced to me in the least.
Our drinks were refilled regularly, soup arrived piping hot, entrees were nicely presented and very good. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and we chatted about the tropical storm forming in the Gulf (but definitely not to the expense of service to others. I am very conscientious about that. :-)
Would I go back? You bet!! I loved it.
Andrea's still got it!. I'm so surprised to see all the bad review of one of my favorite restaurants. I have never had one of the horrible experiences I have read about in these pages.
Several times in the last year I have gone and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. The place is undeniably beautiful and the atmosphere romantic. The service I have received has always bee friendly and competent and the food exceptional.
I've taken my mother twice this year and gone on my birthday. Never have I been disappointed. sometimes it takes a while to dine but I don't go when I'm in a rush. That's what fast food is for.
I think some of these 'disaster' reviews are fake or at least overly exaggerated. I wholeheartedly recommend Andrea's to all my friends and none has told me a bad thing yet.
This is a hidden gem of New Orleans!! The food was AMAZING, the weight staff was top notch! We went here instead of eating in the French Quarter we’re we where staying and couldn’t have been happier! If you want real Italian Food made by a True Chef this is your place!
We had dinner here at 2021 NY Eve. I ordered lamb chop and my hubby had pork shank osso buco. They were terrific. The waiter was nice and we had an enjoyable meal. It would be nice if they serve some bread with oil & vinegar, why wouldn't they do that as in other Italian restaurants?
Christmas party with friends. We had a great time food was delicious, staff was very attentive and friendly. Chef Andre came to our table to talk about the menu and make sure we were having a good time. We'll definitely go back again.
Always a great meal. They have all the expected dishes and they do it better than the rest. Portions are appropriate, not generous, nor skimpy. It is the flavors that are outstanding. I eat there occasionally and it is always a great meal.

Such a clean wonderful experience. It's a little crammed but it works and the atmosphere is busy and still attentive. The food was delicious just wish I had a little more lol but that works too. Get ready to spend but it's fine dining so don't expect anything less. Overall it was enjoyable and I definitely recommend checking it out.
